Maybe it's time to collect all the five videos about the coming update version 2.6 in a single thread.

They are all available in HD on the Steel Beasts Channel.

Anyway, in descending order (newest first):

The significant elements in this video are that we finished the work on the Centauro. Its fire control system now is fully implemented and works as it is supposed to. Also, the Leopard 1A5 now basks in the glory of its brand new 3D interior. And computer-controlled vehicles no longer have a lot of trouble negotiating lamp posts at the roadside, which always looked a bit silly and was, above all, disruptive for movement in built-up areas.

Here we show the fully implemented or seriously overhauled 3D interiors for the M1A1 Abrams and the M2/M3A2 Bradley. Yes, with animated slope/cant bubble to check if the vehicle position is suitable for the TOW missile employment. Plus, it's a commemoration of Operation Desert Storm, 20 years ago.

The Leopard 2A4 also received its 3D interior, as is demonstrated in this video. You can also see that we enabled TOW sights (and, I should say, also the sights for Milan and RBS56 "BILL"; in addition you may now personally control the Javelin, Sagger, and Spigot missiles, the cal .50 MG, the MG3, and if I am not mistaken, also the Mk 19 grenade launcher - in short, most of the infantry's heavy weapons; it's still no first person shooter and isn't intended to become one.)

Guided missiles - a tribute. Another video showing the use of guided missiles in SB Pro PE 2.6, and a general recollection of the impact that they made on the modern battlefield. Rocket science at work. Right - it also features the Kiwi variant of the LAV-25.

Not all my days in the office are like this - in fact, only very few of them are - but still, I took the opportunity to show here a scene from a sound recording session. Luckily (for you) my old video camera fizzled out, so I had to buy a shiny new HD camera (on a weekend) while being out in the sticks in Karelia near the Russian border. The reason I went to Karelia in the first place is the new CV90 model for Steel Beasts, the Finnish 30mm variant. It too comes with a shiny 3D interior. smile

The last couple of weeks has been very exiting. Looking forward to 2.6 smile

Thank you for sharing the screenshots and video's Ssnake thumbsup

Last video added is well done. Shows us some possible scenarios. And the new Leo1A5 interior looks awesome! Well done. This interior is for both Leo1A5DK and LeoAS1?

No, just the 1A5. The AS1 is different inside, not the least because its fire control system is by the Belgian SABCA corporation, not Wegmann.

Now that explains how much time I spent in the playable AS1. wink Never touched the Australian and Spanish playable armour. Though I am interested in the Leopardo smile

When will we see the complete list of new features, new armour ect. of version 2.6? I've collected some info here and there but I need to read the complete list. wink

As soon as the beta test is officially done. That may be at the end of the coming week, or the week after. I think we're down to a handful of open issues that are really important, and we may go the extra mile for additional improvements - but by and large the situation seems to look good (I'm cautious here since the nature of a beta test is that you cannot anticipate the severity of bugs that may be found, or how much time it may take to identify and fix them).

Amazing stuff. Really looking forward to this release..

I assume there are some new maps shown here which will be included together with some missions? Apologies if some/most of this is already available, I'm not really up-to-date on the releases and mods.

There'll be two major new maps, Hannover-Weserbergland and Kursk, and new tutorial files. Scenarios not so much, admittedly. The prime focus was to clean out the backlog of artwork that was prepared but not integrated. We may be able to throw in one or two scenarios, but not more. Maybe we should have another scenario contest after the 2.6 release...

first video... wouldn't they put out that fire BEFORE towing it. wink

Just being a smartass, great videos... I was watching them via my Apple TV on the big 50 inch screen... daughter walked in and said "OMG, it's bad enough you play more video games then all my friends do combined, but to watch them on TV too... your a geek." wink

Yeah... I had hoped that scene would result in a silent kill (without a fire), but well... there are only so many takes that you make in the time that is available, and we can't manipulate the outcome of a hit - that's the nature of a simulation.

Imagine if they ran this thing through the Frostbite graphics engine.
