Hi guys,

Am I correct in thinking that we STILL cannot play the Bessarabia and Slovakia maps with the current version of DGen?

If I'm wrong, can somebody tell me?

I don't use DCG.

Unless someone is able and willing to take the time to go back and rebuild DGen from the ground up, it is never going to happen. Starshoy did not leave any means of modifying the DGen code in the public domain when he disappeared.

The problem is, that the source code of the DGen.exe file is needed to create a new version and as far as I know only Starshoy has the code. If someone can contact hin and convince hin to give the code to Daidalos Team a new DGen.exe version would be possible. Unfortunatly no one seems to know how to contact him.

Wouldn't Oleg know?

I find it absolutely absurd that the campaign generator for the game can't generate new maps. It makes map building utterly pointless.

Not entirely. Static campaigns and single missions can be designed around the new maps. But I do agree that having Dgen updated to include the new map regions would be very welcomed. yep

Evidently not.

Or, at least, it cost to much in time and/or money for Oleg to pursue it. Either way, Oleg seems like he is mostly done with the IL-2 games, anyway.

Um, static campaigns and single missions have never really interested me, to be honest.

If it's the money, I'm willing to chip in!
