I don't think anyone would disagree with your thoughts. I wouldn't mind seeing a lighter version of DCS planes (what would we call those?) that could come out quicker and with less depth of systems. Nothing at all wrong with shooting for a lite aspect to the sim.

Why oh why did TK not put MP in SF2? I do love that sim..but that one missing aspect really does a number on it..(ok, lack of air-to-air refueling is a bummer too..and the size of the maps..lol..)

SF 2 is hampered by many things. A twelve year old terrain engine, a lack of MP, and any avionics made after the Carter Administration work really, really weird.

But it does do some things very well.


There was a new Terrain Engine in SF2:NA


And it ran like crap. DCS still has it all over SF2 for scenery.

Hell, Flanker 2.0 looks better than SF2.
