Recently I've reinstalled windows 98se, and since then, my Throttle control won't reach 100. Im using drivers d/l'd from Saitek's site (came with SGE3 IIRC). in most games, throttle will hit ~96% when I have the device hammered forward, and in the properties tab in windows control panel/gaming options, the "test" bar that lights up leaves about 1/4 cm sliver. Only way I know to calibrate is not to use drivers, but then SGE won't recognize it since it is a "generic" HID USB Joystick.

There's a couple of different ways you can go about fixing the problem. A lot of people use the CTFJ configuration utility. It's available at http://www.stickworks.com. Mine had the very same problem, but I fixed it a different way. I took the throttle apart. Once I had it apart, I noticed that the pot wasn't seated all the way in it's holder. I fixed that and have had 100% throttle ever since. Taking apart the throttle isn't a real daunting task either.

hmm, I guess I'm a little confused here... you say the "pot" wasn't seated. What is the pot? :-) I took the base apart, and inside is a large "shaft" which is the throttle input I presume, the button wiring running inside the shaft, leaving through a hole and then to the circuit board. There is a brass half cylinder that is connected to the "throttle shaft", and I assume THAT is what is actually measuring the movement. However, It seems inaccesible, unless I missed some screws somewhere. If you can explain any further, please do. If possible (Who knows, the problem could very well be somethig else) I would prefer taking care of the problem where it exists. Thanks again for the help!
