You can find just about anything on Amazon Just ordered Millwaukee replacement batteries for my drill, one battery $35, then ordered replacement grills for my Weber grill, $40. Both half as cheap as opposed to buying them from Home Depot or Lowes. I know they are Chinasium but for the cost I went for it. Free delivery too, and quick. Now a days you don’t know where anything is made for sure, parts from who knows but assembled in the US so what does that mean ?

PM, I guess my point is that Amazon is cheaper than brick stores by a substantial margin, an alternative for people like me who are on a fixed budget. Products may not be as good as OEM so beware.

If I don't need an item today, or tomorrow, I almost always order from Amazon. Price and convenience is hard to beat.

Yes F4U, I know some of Amazon’s products are suspect but I have not had any problems with their products purchased so far. Price and convenience is hard to beat, shipping free and fast. I am not a huge fan of Amazon and not trying to endorse them but they have served me well on occasions. I was able to order many obscure replacement parts on Amazon, Roomba parts. Pool Parts, tool parts, walking cane parts, Radio parts at least 50% off from other resources. The parts worked well for me.

I'm surprised at how many things I can get from Amazon the next day or even same day. Last Sunday, I was interested in getting this small, cheap Kureg device and some hot chocolate pods, because my girlfriend likes hot chocolate and coffee, and I like hot chocolate. I ordered them Sunday morning around 10:00am and they arrived at around 3:00pm that day. Free shipping with Prime.

It' works for some people, me included Artyhonon. We too have got some coffee parts from them. We got them and they were prefect.

I buy virtually everything from Amazon. Everything includes some food items, virtually all my PC stuff, clothing, yard goods, etc. etc . I do check Newegg for PC hardware -- and very, very occasionally buy something from them. And, I buy most of my food at the grocery store.

Why Amazon? Price, ease of shopping on line, quick delivery placed on my "doorstep" (something coming almost every other day). Easy returns (very very rarely needed). No downsides for me.

Yes indeed, in fact I'm surprised that so many businesses still have brick & mortar locations. For example, there's a GameStop near my house that seems to be empty or nearly empty every time I pass by it. I don't know how it stays open.

I get a lot of my groceries from Amazon Fresh, and am getting a delivery today, in fact. There was a GameStop very close to my house and it recently closed down, and an ice cream shop is opening up in its place - something you can't easily order online .

That follows the same pattern that has been happening at shopping malls in the US. As legacy retailers like JC Penny, Sears and Macy’s close stores, they are being largely replaced by businesses that require a physical presence (ie restaurants and bars).

Your spot on PM. JC Penny, Sears and Macy’s used to be huge and now only a shadow of their former selves. Too bad, Sears used to be my go to for tools and many other items but not anymore. Amazon is kicking butt as an alternative of those lost brick and motar stores. On line ordering has risen to replace them. The best thing I like about Amazon is their return policy. You can easily return anything you don’t like. Return policy is hassle free, fast and shipping is paid for by Amazon.

Of the big box brick & mortar retailers, only Target and Walmart have weathered the storm of Amazon and online ordering in general.

Yep PM, don' even hear anything about Sears anymore, seems like Amazon is King now, but may only seems that way for now.

Sears only still exists because it’s owned by a real estate investment company.
