Never heard of that one but I will say that Roddy was perfectly cast for “They Live”.
He actually made it to age 60 which is very impressive for a former WWF wrestler where steroid and other illegal drugs use was rampant.

“Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”
Watching Hot Fuzz again. One of the greatest comedies of all time if you ask me. Just a brilliantly well-made movie. Timothy Dalton especially is hilarious in this one!
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

That whole "Cornetto trilogy" is a great set of movies. Sharply written, sharply directed, sharply acted.

Yes. All for the greater good!

It was quite obviously trying to capitalize on the success of Miami Vice but failed miserably.

At this point, Netflix has churned out almost as many forgettable streaming-only movies as studios have released forgettable theatrical releases. The big difference is that there is a lot less overhead involved with streaming only movies.

Finally finish all 11 episodes of The Beauty season 1.
The first couple of episodes were great. A billionaire invents a drug, when injected, turns anyone into a beautiful perfect person.
If you were old with terminal cancer and diseases, you will be young again with no diseases.
If you were fat, you will become skinny and looking like a model.
Then it just kept dragging on. Entire episodes (and quoting Seinfeld) About Nothing.
It's like watching a Tom Cruise Mission Impossible movie where they need to go from Paris to South Africa and there is an entire one hour showing them calling for a taxi to take them to the airport, getting their boarding passes, standing in line to check their luggage in, going through security, getting a cocktail while waiting to board and on and on.
Now the final episode ended with like all other series lately, an ending that doesn't explain or resolve 2/3 of everything that was put forth in the 11 episodes and leaving it open to a new season, if a new season even gets approved.
I have invested too much time to watch too many streaming series in the last 4 years that ended with the prospect of a sequel only to hear later that a 2nd season is not to be.
This is becoming very unacceptable.
Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, FX, and all these streamers companies need to start showing their audience some #%&*$# respect and consideration.
A lot of the slop coming out of their studios is made for "The Modern Audience" (whatever the woke-ish heck that is). If you don't mind watching a movie with subtitles, Netflix has a Korean flic called 'Ballerina'. It's violent, crazy, and even includes a flame thrower. Not for the "Modern Audience".
Watched the latest documentary to hit NetFlix, "Dinosaurs" by Spielberg's 'Amblin documentaries' and narrated by Morgan Freeman (No Tom Hanks in sight). It looks 1000% CGI (which isn't a bad thing), but they sure take liberties in the 'story telling' aspect (inferring with no evidence-- Lewis Binford, although an archaeologist and philosophical theorist not a paleontologist, would have been rolling in his grave). I'd give it a 3 out of 10.
Currently simming; GHPC, Tank Squad, Panzer Elite, and one train sim: Run 8. Trying to escape Tarkov, and roaming around in Incursion' Red River.
Also, Strat-O-Matic basketball season replay 2024 NBA season (Go Raptors! table-top version...with real dice) Gimme da rock!
"Once again we have failed to die."-- old naval toast

I’m curious to know what were some things inferred in the documentary that were not based on any fossil evidence.

This is why I generally won't watch a show until it has 3 - 4 seasons under their belt.
Of the exceptions I have made, which are infrequent, one was canned, the other two, "The Expanse" and "Cobra Kai" made it the full run to completion. I was glad I watched "Kai," that show really delivered. "Expanse" was good, too, obviously, but "Kai" was a guilty pleasure.
A lot of people like to criticize Amazon but it was Amazon which saved “The Expanse” after it was canned by SyFy.
