"The modern era of Star Trek has struggled to maintain its viewer base from series to series and for obvious reasons. Not only is the product over-saturated, but every new creator is going out of their way to present Star Trek in different mediums, despite it not truly working outside of the status quo.
There's a reason why the only "classic" series, Strange New Worlds, is the one that's still on Paramount+ and an actual ratings hit. Because that's what fans want. Not whatever Section 31 is.
It feels like Men in Black meets Mission Impossible, but with the tired "snarky" dialogue that has peppered the Marvel Cinematic Universe for 16 years. A lot of people are over it. This trailer for Section 31 makes many fans uninterested. It's another attempt to turn Star Trek into something it's not, to try and cater to fans who won't care."
The comments on the YouTube trailer are pretty negative too.

It was a poor effort. Not even Michelle Yeoh could save it.
Although I was never a fan of Star Trek: The Motion Picture when it first came out, I feel compelled to re-visit it, some 25 years later. I also have The Wrath of Khan on my watch list.
Not sure if anyone follows Dan Monroe's Youtube Channel, but he re-visited The Wrath of Khan and as usual he has some very interesting insights into it.
His channel is a goldmine if you are into old classic monster movies and the like. Highly recommended.

If you watch Jaws backwards, it's a heart warming story about a shark that spits out so many people that they have to open a beach.

I don't understand the title of the YT video that Chucky posted. It implies that somehow everyone forgot the movie existed or something to that effect??

Well apparently he didn't do his research because Wrath of Khan is most certainly not forgotten and in fact it has become etched in US pop culture. It's easily the most remembered Star Trek film and that includes the TNG cast films and the JJ Abrams films. There's a lot of good stuff on YT but I really hate how so many uploaders use sensationalized titles for them.
