Today a work colleague who is moving back to the US gave me a 2 dollar bill (I mentored him when he started) as a symbol of good luck. I had no idea they existed.

No point to the thread, just mentioning it.

There's also the Susan B. Anthony $1 coin but no one uses it. There was a big push by the US Treasury back in the 1990's to get people to use it but the only time I ever used it was for my commuter train fare.

I've had a few $2 bills over the years, but lost track of them (or spent them when I was a kid - once, I think, just to see the reaction - it wasn't much). I think I might have one in a box somewhere, from some things that were cleared out from my parents' house. Just never take a $3 bill

The Sacagawea dollar has been another failure.

My Mom collected them because, for some reason, she thought they would be worth something one day. When she passed in 2008 we found two shoe boxes stuffed with them.
