Guys Logitech has been around a long time for the SImHQ community, a lot of us have used or are using their controllers for years now including myself with zero problems.
They are getting a bad rep because of the sub situation and it didn't have anything to do with the controller.
Support them.

Obviously the logitech controller caused the sub to implode and not the carbon fiber hull, which was hard to damage...

Yeah, yeah, they do work allright "with zero problems"... until they don't (just like that unfortunate sub).
Had and used Logitech stick extensively - until pots wore out. Had and used Logitech racing wheel extensively - until pots wore out. Well, the tend to do that, sooner or later. It's not the question of "if" but "when".
Logitech was THE brand to go when many of us boomers starter flight & race simming long ago, but in this day and age not switching to contactless solutions all around means that company might as well not exist. No point in buying their stuff anymore if you're a veteran with any experience with hall sensors.
That being said, I'm sure they'll do fine as a company. They're still good for novice and budget-oriented users, or for guys who just need a gamepad, not a stick or a wheel. The recent event won't harm them much, if at all.

Since it did implode at that depth no controller is gonna survive or make a difference. It's just unfortunate Logitech is taking all the flak for some reason.

Depends on how harsh you are and hours of use on the equipment. If you take good care of them and keep things like food debris, hairs, dust and oils away they will go for a long time. Pots can be cleaned / repaired

No thanks, I prefer VKB, VirPil.  BTW - After the "imbroglio" of the G940 HOTAS, a unique product on the market - a ForceFeedback HOTAS without similr competition; but quickly discontinued due to defective units returns and consequent "reviews" on Amazon, caused by the use of low cost/quality potentiometers on the axles, it is admirable that any "veteran" flighsimmer has the confidence to still buy joysticks from the brand.

It's just unfortunate Logitech is taking all the flak for some reason. it was a knock off or off brand for playstation......that controle sucks, i had it, bluetooth died more often than not. you can even see that in the reviews, most ubi early controls had blutooth issues.

G940 killed Logitech for me.
Still buy their mouses, but Hotas ?
I'll wait for a ton of good reviews, especially the "two years after" ones.....

I never liked Logitech flight sim gear. I've owned them all, including the rebranded Saiteks.
Logitech will be fine. They sell multiple products. Anyone in the know, knows that is one of the cheapest gamepads you can buy. At least in that video, he said they keep a couple spares on board.
