Yes, season 6 is better. The first four seasons are the best ones, with the scene between the wife and the factory owner being the best in the series, aside from the bleak execution one which was second. What that owner said to Elizabeth was the best line of the show, and so true, summing up her character succinctly.

I gotta be honest, it's been awhile since I watched those seasons. My memory is not that good haha. Elizabeth is ruthless. Cute bum too.
I made the huge mistake of watching that movie way back when it came out on DVD.
The historical inaccuracies were too numerous to count and the basic premise sure seemed to be very derivative to that of Braveheart. Both movies involved a man reluctant to fight in a war until someone close to him is killed and thus starts his revenge killing spree against the enemy!
The bottom line is that Roland Emmerich has made exactly ONE movie that I felt was worth watching more than once and that was Stargate.

No, it's not a documentary but I also don't agree with a movie re-writing history either.
And I don't buy the "it's not a documentary" argument across the board because there have been plenty of other war movies that got the great majority of their facts straight:

We specialize in "detective/murder-mystery" type series (Sherlock Holmes, Perry Mason, Murder She Wrote, Hercule Poirot, and more).
So far, not all the nominally-detective series we've started have kept our interest. We'll see if this non-detective series keeps our interest -- it really may not.
There were a few changes made with Robert Gould Shaw but overall "Glory" was a fantastic film and largely faithful to historical fact.

Have you tried Vera ? It is a good Detective murder mystery series. It's one the wife and I watch. (She tends to like the more clean cut shows. Poirot and Murder She Wrote are two of her favorites. Miss Marple and Columbo too)
Same goes for Last of the Mohicans and even A Bridge Too Far. Even the more accurate ones make changes, get things wrong, or add in/exaggerate events.
True. It all boils down to what extent of historical inaccuracy you are willing to accept as a viewer and that's a relative thing dependent on each viewer. So my original point is that compared to films like "A Bridge too Far" and "Last of the Mohicans", the historical inaccuracies in "The Patriot" are egregious.
