How to do that is actually a trick he picked up during one of his many trips through The Twilight Zone.
Watching The Thing. The 1982 sequel to 2011 The Thing but it was out before it in 1982, if that is not confusing as hell. I said we weren't going to watch it because the 2011 prequel was gross but then we were curious and couldnt just end it with the 2011 movie.
BTW according to WIKI the 1982 sequel did very bad at the cinemas and the critics hated it, during a year that saw better happier sci-fi movies like ET and Star Trek 2.
Also according to WIKI there is another Thing movie in the works, a sequel to the 1982 sequel. We are still watching it but because there is a sequel to it in the works, I assume not every one died.
John Carpenter "s version of the Thing was wonderful Light direction ,but with a lot of Jump that sent the Popcorn flying. Lost Boy's was another Super Popcorn film that was well crafted. On this weeks Menu I ve been watching British Pathe News Reels on U Tube a lot of good stuff. Along with J. Wayne's Rio Bravo. Also in the pot is Carpenter's Escape From New York ( Seems Logical with all that's going on in N.Y. according to the News )
I watched "The Iceman" last night. Not for the faint of heart, and was a very intense film. The writers captured the dark side of humanity very well, and left a nasty feeling in my stomach afterwards. The movie is based on the true story of the Iceman Killer, who also was interviewed by HBO a few decades ago in a special called the "Iceman Tapes."
Michael Shannon was awesome as he always is and I can't imagine what he had to go through psychologically to pull off the role. Very dark, but I give a minimum of *** out of ****.
3rd series of 'Norsemen'; actually the prequel to the first two series. All the gore and violence of what one would expect from such a saga but with the Norwegians satirising themselves giving this warrior society modern sensitivities and much liberal tropes. 'Python' meets 'Vikings' sort of thing.

No it is of Norwegian origin, but some of it was filmed close to where I live in Scotland in a reconstructed village of about the right period. Some scenes were filmed at Duncarron Medieval Village and at Duncarron Medieval Fort
Thanks for that info Alicatt! I'm assuming the series is in Norwegian with subtitles available in English? I may check it out.
edit: Just got this info from the Wiki page,

Still, I would be prefer to watch it in Norwegian with English subtitles.

I'll check this link out later today. I know some well known films like Rob Roy and Braveheart were shot either entirely or partially in Scotland.

Saw this last night, absolutely loved it! I'd also recommend his movie "Brick" from way back.
