April 9th is the day Germany invaded Denmark. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_invasion_of_Denmark_(1940) Denmark didn't have a chance: many of their infantry were on bicycles, carrying bolt action rifles that fired one shot at a time. Each soldier was only issued 40 rounds of ammunition. They were against German armored columns and infantry equipped with machine guns and submachine guns. The Danish Air Force didn't even get off the ground. Denmark surrendered in 6 hours. So sad!

The Norwegians fared much better against the Germans.
I promoted 'The King's Choice' somewhere earlier in this thread as one of the better war films I've seen and I will do so again now. If you don't mind subtitles give it a go.
If you watch Jaws backwards, it's a heart warming story about a shark that spits out so many people that they have to open a beach.

It would be the equivalent of Russia invading Moldova today. The outcome would be quite obvious from the outset.

The Norwegians fared much better against the Germans.
. They had the benefit of the very rugged defensive terrain and they got help from the UK and France for a while.

Went through my Blu-ray case and found my old Babylon 5 DVD set. Well up to season 2.4. Love this show. I have that series as well as the spinoffs "Crusade" and "Legend of the Rangers" on DVD. I think it may be time to revisit them all.

Don't do that to yourself. Skip it. The original show, Crusade, and most of the movies were all at least good to downright fantastic, but just skip Legend of the Rangers. Unless there's a Mystery Science Theater episode on it, there's no reason to watch it.

Don't do that to yourself. Skip it. The original show, Crusade, and most of the movies were all at least good to downright fantastic, but just skip Legend of the Rangers. Unless there's a Mystery Science Theater episode on it, there's no reason to watch it.
LOL! I see what you mean. In my opinion the premise behind it was solid but the execution fell flat. The absolute worst part was the weapons officer woman who would aim and guide the ship's weapons via that 3D holographic station while doing what looked like martial arts. Ugh.

Slug It was a bit like the curate's egg good in places but over all it was quite entertaining. Finished season 2 of Altered Carbon, interesting and expanding on season 1 and I like how Poe and Dig left the final episode, hope there is a series 3

Was in Portmeirion last year with wife and a daughter. A most surreal and isolated place to visit, enhanced by the fact I watched the series when first aired in 1967/8 (in monochrome!).
