if thats the case then that game can go #%&*$# itself. I dont give a crap about the whole funneling players bs. Its not fun and it is annoying. So you get caught out of objective and your guns jam then people shot you before you can get back in objective. That is at least better than just dying after 20s like RO2 but still... #%&*$# that.
That is a prime study in how to take a good game and make it completely unplayable.
I always say "to each his own", but yeah if its not your thing dont buy it. I know I have certainly gotten my monies worth out of RO2/RS and I am sure it will be the same with RSV. They are no means Triple A FPS titles and they do have some wonky design decisions but that doesn't mean they are any less fun to play (IMHO).
The best solution for preventing spawn camping is to get rid of respawns. Adds tension and consequences too. Just my opinion. Respawn games tend to cater to reflexes over smart play and just get frustrating. Just my opinion.
I was hoping for more squadish and less bf/cod. Looks pretty fast paced though.
Anyone in the beta? does it still have that stupid death if you get stuck outside the objective when objectives switch that RO2 and RORS had?
Ya been in every beta wave and the tail end of alpha too. As I am sure someone has said since reading from beginning to end that was replaced with the NO bang bang feature instead of gibbed. I don't think anyone likes it but it keeps folks from getting behind enemy and doing stuff. Which is both good and bad.
However, the game itself is a vary good compromise between legit sim light and arcade fps shooter. Some stuff they where trying in the beta's got nerfed down as you can't seem to escape the COD effect. But RS2 has been trying to go more legit than RO2 and certainly RS1, how much of the that gets into the final release is the question. Its a vary good FPS I think.
Just installed it last night, only had chance for a quick go on the firing range, but looks good. Gives me a very similar feeling to Squad.
Initial thoughts: Hopefully they will continue to improve things ( I would like to see the running animation improved ) I also feel that the on screen action icon ( shows when you can jump over things, etc ) is a little to high and in the center of my view. Ideally there will be some way to adjust this to suit personal taste.
Looking forward to see what the actual game play is like.
Yep, I was not complaining at all ! Loved RO since the very first one. Lots of fun already, and it will get better as we get closer to official release date.
Cheers, Slug

This game is hardcore. I suck at it, will probably never be as good as that double backblast aka "Rambo" guy(he is amazing), but for some reason, I keep playing it.
