I know it's "NTTR is out!" but this isn't just NTTR, this is 2.0 (alpha or not). What are the major features of 2.0? I'm just (no wait, more) excited about the 2.0 features I think than any bit of sand.
Also what greek letter is before alpha for the next release?

Also what greek letter is before alpha for the next release? I thought when 1.5 open beta was released ED said it would be essentially the same as 2.0 only without NTTR. Also 2.0 is suppposed to have new map features. The info is in the 1.5 open beta FAQ on ED's forum

I have not downloaded DCS World from Steam yet. Just use the installer, and ignore Steam?

I got it downloaded, but now I have to install all my moduals. Too bad I have to go to work in 30mins.  At least I'm off tomorrow.  Rob

Calling it quits for today, Nevada torrent downloader stopped working and now I get this when trying: STATUS: Connecting to update servers... Downloaded DCS 2.0 File at 23 mb/s - 18+ GB
Updater starts downloading an update that's 1.8 GB at 7.5 kb/s (after it first states it can't connect to Server).
Canceled the update to try the method posted at Reddit to DL the Nevada map separately from the main install (Since I already have DCS 2.0 installed) - Tried to download 24.5 GB file.
Cancel that and tell it to use HTTP and it tried to DL a 27+ GB file.
WTF.

That 27GB file is Nevada. What were you expecting?

It tried to DL the 27 GB files after it downloaded an 18+ GB file.
What was the 18 GB file + the 1.8 GB file + the 24 GB file?
Here's the file breakdown:
18 GB + 1.8 GB + 24 GB (then I cancel the 24 GB) and now the download is 27 GB?
What are all these files?

I got the main file at 23 mb/s but everything else DL's at sub 500 kb/s. Ack!

Is the stupid updater limiting the amount of people that can connect to each other (that would be completely retarded ... but then again this is ED)
I have 76Mb down and 16Mb up , aint even remotely using my bandwidth

Nevada + DCS 2.0 is 44 GB? :/ Did you have a current install of 1.5 for it pull data from instead of downloading the whole thing? I'm thinking the 18gb might have been the base game files that most folks are just getting from their current 1.5 install. I might be wrong...just a guess.
