Just got back from seeing "Spectre".
I was a bit disappointed with how over the top the action scenes were. It's like the producers have regressed since Casino Royale. Casino Royale had very realistic and believable action sequences and you could clearly see the influence on realism from the Bourne Identity. Spectre is very much a throwback to Thunderball and You Only Live Twice.

Oh and quite seriously, that Sam Smith song is one of the absolute worst Bond opening songs ever.

Oh and quite seriously, that Sam Smith song is one of the absolute worst Bond opening songs ever.
Ugh. I couldn't understand 2/3 of the words he was singing.

I watched the first series last year and thoroughly enjoyed it and wasn't aware of a second series, now around episode 4 or so, going to have to catch up, a really well done series. Mick.

Ugh. I don't even know who he/she is so I just checked it out.One word.Trash. In my all-time top ten Bond theme songs it would be at No 50.
If you watch Jaws backwards, it's a heart warming story about a shark that spits out so many people that they have to open a beach.

Went to see Ant-Man at the $1 movie theater and we walked out after 19 minutes.
This is a Marvel movie?
It doesn't feel like a Marvel movie!
More like a sci-fy channel production.

I thought all of the Dollar theatres went away after the 90's?
Ant Man was actually pretty good imho. It's just a bit more easy going and light hearted compared to the other Marvel movies.

The cheapest tickets you can get around here are $14 concession, $17 adult. And the last movie or TV I watched was Antiques Roadshow last night (The original BBC version) some nice paintings and Chinese vases... thrilling.

Don't laugh but I finally started watching Game of Thrones last night. Wow, lots of death and sex from the very beginning!

Has nekkid Scarlett but you have to sit through child murder and erections to get there  It reminded me very much of the experimental sci-fi/horror of the late 70s/early 80s. The Man Who Fell to Earth, Artemis 8.1, Altered States, Videodrome and so on.

I recently saw Nosferatu with the original score played by a live orchestra. It was great. Completely changes the experience with that film. Our local arthouse theater does this occasionally. (I caught Chaplin's Gold Rush with the same treatment in the past.)
Also, caught Tucker and Dale vs Evil - this has to be the weirdest horror comedy ever.
lastly, watched Robocop from 2014. An average film at best but it was clearly better than any of the original Robocop's sequels.
