Watched the Bourne Trilogy on BD again (the fourth one doesn't exist in my universe). Still very good, but boy has Bourne Identity gotten old! It's odd to see CRT displays in what - in my memory - is still filed under "contemporary action spy thriller".
Hard to believe that the first film came out 13 years ago. I'm a big fan of the trilogy as well.
The "reboot" with Jeremy Renner wasn't bad but it was also forgettable.

I had never even heard of the original mini-series with Chamberlain until a few years ago.
I disagree about Damon. I thought he was quite compelling as a deadly blackops operative.

I have several movies from the 1920's through the 1950's on dvd so I don't really think it's my age.
I think the Chamberlain miniseries just wasn't that popular when it came out and so it was quickly forgotten.
Compare that with Chamberlain's other miniseries "Shogun" which is still remembered today by many people.

This movie started out interesting in the first scene before the main character is introduced and then it just dragged on and on going around in circle pretty much.

It had a different and more promising premise than most teeny bopper horror films where dumb teenagers are just being chased around by a weapon wielding killer but the writers of this just didn't know what to do with their premise.
I saw "Inside Out" on Friday. I liked it quite a bit but Wall-E is still my favorite Pixar film of all time.

1) I had the opportunity to see a screening of Chaplin's Gold Rush with true musical accompaniment and it was great!
2) Chaplin's Limelight - This was the first Chaplin 'talkie'/non-tramp film I had seen. It was rather strange to see him in a "pseudo-tramp" type getup occasionally.
3) Snow White and the Huntsman - meh

I still don't get how Kristen Stewart gets film roles. She's one of the dullest and most lifeless actresses I've ever seen.

Boy was it bad, I was glad they both agreed to watch it after the previews but it was so bad. Didn't realize that one of the drone pilots is Lenny Kravitz's daughter.
I would give this a 1/5, don't bother...

Sad result for the director of Lord of War and Gattaca, both great films. Not surprising after he directed The Host, though, the book the Twilight writer made that was considered WORSE than those books...
