Not sure if this is a bug but I expect the mail notification to work the way that I get ONE mail when a new posting is done in a thread that I have subscribed.
Now I don't get one mail but ONE for every new post in a subscribed thread, that is useless and annoying.
Is this a bug?

So anyone any clue?

I'm not sure UBB is clever enough to do this...

Let's see: in order to make that work, the software would
have to know that you'd viewed the thread after notification,
in order to clear the notification flag so that it would
know that it should send another notification for subsequent
posts. That should be possible, in that it is checking cookies
to know what you've read and not read in order to show the
"unread" flags on your index screen.

I have no idea what standard practice is, as I never use the
function.

Any notification flag should be cleared after a mail for that thread went out and the flag should only be set again after I watched that thread.

Not sure if the board software is so outdated or if this is simply the way it is handled in this software but I can't remember ever being on a board that handles notifications like this.

Well, that's the equivalent process in the inverse -
when I said notification flag, I obviously meant a
"you've been notified" flag.
