They have my interest but I'm not making any rash purchase decisions just yet.

Well the F2 has a different engine and firepower to the F4, also a different Pe-2 variant, the IL2 is still the same version I believe, the major difference came with the IL-2M... But yes, holding off until I get more info on this one  Glad to see the P-40 making an appearance...

I like those planes - Emil, Ishak/Rata, Mig-3, Bf-110, Ju-88, P-40, Folgore... All among my favorites.

It looks like they are going to do a pre-order in March, with Early Access to follow, like they did with BOS.
I think I will hold off this time around, and see what happens down the road for single player system.

They could throw every plane from old IL246 and it still does not compel me to buy it.
They need a real campaign, give me custom graphics, prove the dserver and ME will actually be able to make large scale battles, before I would even think of giving money to this company ever again.

They need a real campaign, give me custom graphics, prove the dserver and ME will actually be able to make large scale battles, before I would even think of giving money to this company ever again. +1 The current BoS QMB Plus game is spittle inducing boring...even with unlocks and the prospect of giving back custom graphics. The problem is the utter lifelessness of the mission area along with brain dead AI. No more money up front nor on release to these mofos....from now on it's strictly Missouri rules... Show me....don't tell me.

For the Luftwaffle guys, the inclusion of the Ju-88 and the 110 will be a good attraction. They have been asked for.
For me, I'm glad they have managed to show they are moving forward. (and yes I know they still haven't changed their design) but it still gives me hope they will move eventually to Africa and the med...

@ Trooper: You forgot the iconic Emil for Lufties Fortunatelly I am not just one side player, so I will fly 'em all. @ Loki: just learning to fly/fight all BoS/BoM planes properly in QMB will keep me busy for quite a long time. And I hope some reasonable content comparable to good old 1946 will appear eventually. And there is also MP.

Apparently there is going to be an update of sorts around the end of the month, that mentions both additions and fixes. ( over 40 additions ).
I wonder what kind of " additions " he is talking about...
He mentions dserver and ME, however no projected dates given...

I still have IL2 1946 (three separate versions) on my Hard drive, and I'm eagerly awaiting CFM... I have said a zillion times on this and any other forum regarding BoS that I hate their design choices, and as a mainly offline player it holds very little entertainment value. That doesn't mean I want to see it go down the tubes... If and when that FME comes out and people get their head around it we might see some salvation as offliners with good user made campaigns. For that to happen I have to wait... which is no biggy actually as I'm having fun playing so many other excellent games at the moment. With DCS, RoF, WoFF, and my beloved IL2 1946, I still get my daily flying fix, not to mention, ArmaII and III, Sniper Elite 3, Rome2, Ryse etc, I am certainly not bored in my gaming world.
