The worst thing is when they DO manage to park... Everyday as I get into the parking lot at work, there are these cars squeezed into tiny holes that were never meant to be parking spots, parked across the access lane and blocking the way or simply sitting there in the middle, just so that their owners don't have to walk an extra 100 meters in high heels... Swifts, Fiat 500s and New Beetles are small cars, even by European standards, but not that small.

As much as I love my Sister Karen, (bless her) its like playing Russian fecking roulette with yer life everytime you get in a car with her and she's driving. I'm not saying all Women are crap drivers (what was that German lass called on Top Gear again? Amazing), but for some reason the vast majority lack the spatial reasoning and ability to park cars properly. Our Russian friends have even noted the phenomena, clearly proving beyond doubt that it is universal.
What is the part of the brain responsible for spatial realisation, cognition etc? Whatever it may be, with most Women it is clearly cluttered with Shoes.

I admit that I'm not as fast at spatial recognition tasks as a lot of guys; however, as a driver...I drive a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X MR and I left a 3-series BMW swapping ends in the twisties when he tried to tailgate me a few weeks ago. Those Eibach coilovers and Super All Wheel Control make a big difference.
And I hear that Panther holds her own on a GSXR-750 on the track.
These two Russian gals give us all a bad name, though. They were hopeless.
By the way-re heels...if you all try to walk 100 yards in 3 inch heels you'll get why a lot of gals park in ridiculous places. I was on my feet all day in 2-inch heels today in court and I hurt, man. I usually wear flats, and I'm not used to heels but they look better to juries.
Cat, vis a vis the so called "battle of the sexes" I think that most will readily admit that Women are vastly Superior to Men, in practically every way. They just "generally" can't park cars very well, but nobody's perfect, innit? I remember there was some text "experiment" thing going around in which there are numerous grammatical errors or mistakes of some sort. Weird thing is, almost any bloke on the planet that reads it cannot spot the very blatant and obvious mistakes (it was some kind of scientific study), whilst women overwhelmingly can.
Thus proving beyond reasonable doubt that most blokes are as thick as pigs sh*t, and if any further proof were needed, I can't even remember the experimental scientific text thing that I'm on about.
Women are in general much better on verbal and social skills, while men tend to be better at spacial and logical/mathematical tasks.
It's an evolutionary heritage from the time where men were the hunters and the women dealt with the social issues of the tribe.
Of course this isn't set in stone there are women who excel in maths and men who have great social/verbal skills, but they are the exception not the rule.

Like watching a few of my seniors parking in my underground garage. One has a Ford Windstar that looks like its been sideswiped by a concrete pillar. Always wished I had my camera handy watching her park when we take out the dumpsters. Could hear metal crunching and we look around the corner and she is cutting in to soon and dragging the side of her van across the side of the concrete support pillars. She does it every time she parks.
Haha! This is so true. Watched my mom park the car once, ended up with nasty scratches from the gate post (cement!) from just after the front wheel well to the rear wheel well. My dad was fuming!
A common thing I see here all the time is women who stop way behind the car in front of them or the line at a stop sign or a signal light. Sometimes the distance is about 20-25 feet.
I have my car parked in an underground garage. My place is in the middle row, so after getting into the garage, I have to drive straight on to the end of the first row and then do a 90� left turn to get to the next row. At this point, the way is too narrow for two cars.
Last summer, I came back from work. It was warm, so I drove my Z4 top-down. As you are sitting very low in this car, I can`t see over the other parked cars. When I was about to turn left at the end of the row, a woman in a middle-class car already was in the narrow point. I put in the reverse-gear, to give her more room to turn. But she didn`t stop, turning even harder and finally rammed a column at the end of the row with the side of her car between the front and the back door. As I already said, I was going backwards to give her more room.
Then, instead of going backwards too and turning away from the column, she only stopped shortly and then moved on, steering still at the same angle. So she scratched her whole car at that concrete column and drove away....
I think I`ve sat there for another minute or so, in total disbelieve what I just had seen....

My girlfriend does that. Drives me nuts everytime. She also basically uses the same safe distance whether she's doing 30 or 130Kph. Then she complains traffic isn't moving fast enough or about how some people often get caught in the middle of a crossroads when the light turns red. She still does not understand these are all consequences of other drivers doing exactly what she does. The worst part is that leaving such a wide space open between her and the next car gives the wrong impression that she's yielding or letting other cars merge, and then she yells and honks at them when they do and she nearly hits them ...
Then again she's not just a woman, she is a half Roman Italian woman

I get a laugh whenever my wife berates women drivers. She's a rock star at parking and I totally suck at parallel parking, lol. If we're going into SF she drives otherwise we end up taking 10-20 mins trying to find a really big parking space
Oh, and she prefers a manual transmission, too - it was love at first sight
I could understand they lack some skills, ok, I can take that. But those two girls on the video, what were they doing! I mean, one is trying to park, ok, the other comes in and, stop, that's it. The two just halted there, like if one was expecting the other to do something? I don't know, maybe they were waiting for the car to park it self? :P
And yes, the "turn the freaking wheel in the opposite direction!" feeling is one I get all the time, too.
When you're feeling sad, just remember that somewhere in the world, there's someone pushing a door that says "pull".
