Clearly, I realized Hpasp!
The question then what about the interception of SCUD!
SCUD!
Its rate of more than 1200 m/sec!

thank's piston79 for answers, but can you use simple and deep explanation please, unfortunately I can't understand all your dialects and your abbreviations, (Peremena chastoti) = ??? I think adding some simplicity and deep explanation of abbreviations in posts make them more helpful ! This is from developer HPASP We are getting deep into the advanced SDC operation... ... so here we are, with lots of ground clutter. We are in 75Km mode, and some clutters are from over this range. If we switch on our lovely SDC, we find out, that it could filter clutter till 75km, but... ... all clutter, that is beyond 75km is still messing up our scopes. If we now turn off the variable frequency, than we can filter all clutter, from the screen (over 75km also). Hope that's enough for you. P.S. Hm, I am late...

In the picture shows a C-200 training! Interception of SCUDE! Speed Max 5, Orbit Apogee 86 km! S-200 maximum target speed of 1200 m/sec Max 4! The question of how S-200 can then intercept?

Is that normal? Some specialist of Vega, could have a look, please? (I meant this HOJ mode) Asuluk training ground.
Practice target: 8K14 R-300 (SCUD-B) Tactical Ballistic Missile
S-200VE Vega-E

I knew it!
1. Shot speed missiles 1041 m/s (3,7 Mach).
2. 1405 m/s (5 Mach).
The maximum speed of the target in S-200 Vega is 1200 m/s.
Here 1405 m/s.

Total, SNR On Air Time: 5min 49sec Home On Jam (is the English term), Russian is the "Do Starta, Poisk V Vikl" (Acquire target before start, do not track target in speed). When you switch the GSN into this mode, it only tracks the target in two coordinates (Epsilon, Beta), instead of the usual three (Epsilon, Beta, Speed), as Jamming denies the GSN to receive the RPC signal reflected from the target. (similarly when you cannot measure a jamming target range with a pulse system (SA-2/3/4), here you cannot measure its Doppler speed (SA-5)) The continuous wave semi-active guidance has several advantages, keeping the same accuracy at any distance, and being resistant of ground echos, chaff and noise jamming, (as the jammer is only acting as a homing beacon for the missile).

This mode is the right one for shooting at SCUD, right? (anyway, no other mode allows me to launch, so that must be the right one). Hpasp- outstanding photos!!! Never drop "the sourcerer stone"! In one of shooting Vega made a direct hit on 8K14... Radiofuse didn't explode, but the targer was destroyed by impact. That was a sight!...

(just press the launch button during flashing, when it is on)I've tried, but missiles don't want to go... I'll try again when the target is at 60-70 km, as was described in data you provided. (stil use IADS to acquire the target, but I am not very fluent on VEGA) P.S. FLASHING - the received echo from the target is enough, but the target is not in killing zone. So we need to shoot when it is out of range (more than 40 km altitude).

Hpasp, could you please put Vega (just one site with full load, no IADS) into one of the Linebacker II scenarios? Very little (hope so) work on your side but a lot of fun in the meantime for anyone awaiting Libyan puzzles...
