Excuse me mods...I know it's not WWII but somehow fits into the 'Gaijin Flight Series' basket. Anyho..

Gaijin recently announced a new Space Action MMO - Star Conflict - http://www.star-conflict.com/

For those of you who are old enough you may remember Elite, this was a game I loved when I was a kid (well, back in the 80s).
I just loved the dogfights of this game, it actually had a lot in common with the dogfighting of the WWII genre. Since then however
I haven't been into sci fi games, all I tried just paled in comparision with Elite.

I'm not sure what to expect, but if they apply their graphical capabilities to this genre and mix it with a good storyline and gameplay,
I may once again set out to space...

What do you think? Anyone else who might catch space fever?

Because MMO's make more money.

When you think MMO, don't think: WoW - Think about how some of your most entertaining moments in a Flight Sim or Shooter have been while playing with others ...

That's pretty standard. Very rare to find one that does a flight stick well.

TBH it makes sense to focuse a game on working with keyboard and mouse since that's what everyone has.

Think I'll stick with KOTR coming in December, which also has space combat.

ship design isn't very appealing. wings...sigh

The space shuttle has wings.

You know they could be exo-atmospheric. Like the aforementioned Space Shuttle.
