Try restarting steam/computer after adding the line to the file (in users/my documents) folder.

Looks that way, obviously money was getting tight, the world economy must make it tough, same happened with ROF, which has come a long way in the last 18 months.

Hopefully we will see the same with CoD, but that's only going to happen if we all buy it, just the way it is for those of us that love Flight Sims.

If this is a FAQ thread, my most frequently asked question is whether CloD is multithreaded.

Somebody out there must have knowledge/tools to accurately assess this. Task Manager is open to interpretation.
I don't think the developers have definitively stated whether it is or not. Correct if wrong.

Thanks.

EDIT: Not an uber geek, but this seems like double speak to me...
Quote:
Dano: How is Cliffs of Dover optimised for multicore systems? Is there an upper limit on the number of cores supported?

We didnt focus on multicore support while developing the game, but we do run the game in multiple threads. Depending on your CPU, these threads will be split between available cores. Theres no upper limit to the number of supported cores, but you will see little improvement past four cores because additional threads are pretty light.

This can be interpreted that the threads will jump between cores (yield a spiky core profile, like what is seen/posted).

EDIT:
apparently a developer has spoken to this issue now, though it seems from my read it isn't an optimal arrangement of core use. Maybe a freaking HUGE patch might correct this...

AVG (full edition) thinks that the CoD launcher is a virus.
It's a false positive and I have reported it to AVG and hopefully they will update their threat library.

If you watch Jaws backwards, it's a heart warming story about a shark that spits out so many people that they have to open a beach.

In STEAM, go to Library. Right click on CoD and go to options. Select "updates" tab and uncheck "Enable Steam Cloud".

Open following folder and open file named "conf.ini"
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\

In the config file, find the line [BOB]
and write following next line.
"AntiEpilepcy=0",
save config.

So what does the epilepsy radio button in-game do then?

Maybe adding links at the bottom of the FAQ to stores where one can buy CoD? It would create more traffic to the FAQ by all the replies to the "Where can I buy CoD" questions with the "Check the FAQ sticky" answer. smile
