1.6.1W1

Just three small changes.. mouselook will now also work in outside view, if you are a TrackIR user you can enable control via TIR by setting the 'external_trackir' eech.ini variable to '1'. By default TIR only controls in-cockpit views.

Second change is the variable 'high_lod_hack' which will partially reenable more detailed models at higher field of view settings - but cities should be unaffected by this, hence conserving a few more fps. I did not test this though.

At last analogue sensor control (FLIR, DTV etc) should now be enabled for all helicopters, however please note that zooming is not yet controlled by an axis as these helicopters only have 'diskrete' zoom stages.

While I did not change anything network related I would not explicitly recommend this version for online play.. your mileage may vary.

A bit farther off is analogue FOV and zoom control, and maybe a mapping of these discrete sensor zoom ranges to analogue axis.

On my longterm TODO list (were speaking 2005 here \:D ) would be a rewrite of the input/deadzone stuff, and (maybe) finally custom key mapping - a pet project of mine, but I have never managed to actually finish it... we will see.

Feedback welcome \:\)

Ran it last night for about an hour, all works okay. Seems more stable too.

Just one niggly thing.

The collective setting 1st option for my X45 is a rotary switch the 2nd is the throttle. This confused \:\) me as my throttle didn't work when I tried it the 1st time.

Did yout use the "autoconfigure" button ? Or did you just click on the axis names to the right of the "collective" text ?

I missed the auto button. \:\(

I used the drop down to right of the Collective text.

Sorry for the confusion.

Well the goal of the autoconfigure button is that the program recognizes your stick and maps the right phyiscal axis to the correct in-game axis (eg x45 throttle to collective). So if you press this button and the axis are assigned correctly then Id consider the function 'working' ;\)

Retro,

Which version of the code did you use??
I have the bug where only the first saved game is valid \:\( . Any saved game after the first is invalid and won't load. I think Mojo reported this and corrected it.

YOu're correct Fixer, the saved game bug is due to an enhanced version-check that went wrong.
I missed to commit the reverted code (global.c) but it's in the repository now, sorry for the inconvenience
