Not a big patch this time, but it will allow third-party aircraft class and payload files for mods to work. See: http://forums.oesau.jg1.org/viewtopic.php?t=17792

Additions to Version 3.44

Fixed payload lists in the Aircraft Class Settings Panel. Increased plane type limits. Added alliance dropdown box for column editing. Increased the likelihood of a transport unloading a tank/truck column at a friendly location.

Note: After installing, remember to reset your basic options and, if using DGen or NGen Replacement modes, make sure these options are re-checked before running IL-2 Forgotten Battles, Pacific Fighters or 1946. Mods which have made changes to the event log may not work with IL2DCG.

Richardg - you might want to take a look at the DCG forum for help. I will go ahead and call your issue "user error"

Nah, it used to work. I just did a full clean install of 4.09m. I've only used DCG with 4.08m before.

Auto-generate is not working. DCG runs, generates mission to play, IL2 runs it, then at mission end it crashes before mission result screen is displayed. Something is wrong when the game is calling out to DCG to generate new mission and read the mission log.

Cant log into DCG forum have to wait to be registered there.

Richardg - I tested it with Stock 4.09, HSFX 4.1 and UP 2.0 (using log mod removal patch) and it worked. The only thing I can think of is OS - are you using Win7 now verses XP before?

I got it sorted by running in full auto replacement mode, instead of just auto mode.

I'm thinking my new 5850 ATI card with and old opengl driver hack (to get IL2 to work) didn't like the alt-tabbing, and the other program running in background.

X-man, can you tell me where to get the log mod removal patch?

DCG Forum - we are not allowed to post a direct link here, but here is DCG's website. smile

Note: The Log Mod remover is only needed for UP 2.0.

Many thanks, Paul. On another modding thread on here I was just thinking about how long you've been working on this utility and how far it's come since the first version of IL2, with its lack of a dynamic campaign system. Your dedication is admirable. beercheers

Sorry, X_Man, misread the first post and thought it was Paul's. This looks great. Given the locked down nature of DGEN, I'm hoping DCG will be able to make campaigns for things like the SM.79 at some point.

You were right the 1st time. I just updated a few files to alow users of UP 2.0 to enjoy Paul's Dynamic Campaign Generator:) - He deserves all the credit! Lowengirn created DCG by addressing the issues DGEN had and has been supporting it since day 1.

So for the "DCG Skin folders needed for UP 2.0" file, does that mean that these are the names of the skin folders in the main Paintschemes folder? Been wanting a comprehensive list for a long time now, and this looks great.

One more question that's sort of tangentially related to this: if using vpmedia's skinmod default skin changer, is there a way that I could create folders for the new planes there as well in order to change the existing defaults?

Thanks. Hope you're weathering the freeze.

Well, it looks like I mucked up a couple things with 3.44 - one which has to do with allowing DCG to handle all the new planes in the mods and one with scoring kills. So stay tuned for 3.45.

Question 1 - Yes! However, some have been shortened to work with DCG. Read my post on DCG where the files are located for details.

Question 2 - DCG uses whatever default skin of which aircraft you choose, unless otherwise specified. If there are specific skins you want to use in a campaign by a specfic unit starting on a given date, post at the DCG forum and someone will tell you how to edit a file to make that happen.
