The IL2 Dynamic Campaign Generator creates dynamic campaigns for IL-2 "Sturmovik" and all it's sequels by Maddox Games. Currently there are campaigns available for most maps including the latest in the "1946" 4.09 beta patch. A number of these campaigns span multiple maps and some (on the Eastern Front) span the entire war.

This program can also generate single mission as well as missions for the on-line "Dogfight" and "Coop" modes (there are two "on-line" friendly campaigns available for use). Over time, the front lines will shift, airfields may be captured and recaptured and objects appear and disappear. Squadrons will transfer closer to the front as friendly ground forces advance or bug-out should the enemy break-through. Armor, truck columns, and trains will also move from city to city during missions and ships from harbor to harbor, starting the next mission at the city or harbor moved to in the previous mission. Build ups of guns and armor will also appear at the "front" and captured locations will have new defences generated.

IL-2 DCG will also track plane losses, pilot deaths, and the replacement of both, awards and promotions, as well as the destruction and replacements of moving vehicle and tank columns, trains, and ships, and static ground defenses. All in all, DCG offers IL-2 players a fully dynamic world in which to fly.

IL-2 DCG can also fully replace the stock dynamic campaigns ("DGen" and "NGen"). If IL2DCG.exe is used to replace DGen.exe, selections from the DGen campaign selection screen will over-ride selection made in DCG when in single player career mode.

Although IL-2 DCG does all the above and more, it remains a work in progress. Bug reporting, comments and suggestions are welcomed.

Additions to Version 3.42

Added ferry spawning in Dogfight campaigns. Added a ground contact distance setting so that players move the spawning distance of tanks and trucks back from zero to five waypoints (on Ground War Editor Panel). Added command "ShipsRemainSunk On/Off" to Time Table. Fixed an endless loop in the campaign generation routine when a "Jv", "RAP" or "MTAP" squadron was being used. Ships that crash will now remain sunk. Added to code prohibit more than one instance of DCG to run at a time (but it will allow DCG to run as "Dgen.exe" or "NGen.exe" and as "DCG.exe" at the same time). Added "Random" time passage setting; on this setting, time will advance either one, two or three days between missions.

Note: This version of DCG should not be installed over versions older than 3.01. Please make a clean install. Campaigns started with versions of DCG numbered less than 3.01 will NOT work with this version. After installing, remember to reset your basic options and, if using DGen or NGen Replacement modes, make sure these options are re-checked before running FB/AEP/FP or FP.

Paul, thanks for your not-ending support in your fine program!

I will also commence working on my Iasi-44-campaign for DCG soon. And it will fit to the "final" map which's release if imminent (together with final 4.09...).

Hmmm... lowengrin.com seems to be down. Anyone know where else I might find DCG 3.42 nowadays?

Thx

Lo is away right now and probably won't be back online until sometime after Oct. 9th. I've emailed him about lowengrin.com, though. And am hoping that he's reading his messages.

The DCG forums are still up, however, at jg1.org.

But, there doesn't appear to be a working link to download DCG 3.42.

Sorry for the trouble!

No trouble Alfred. Thanks for the response. I'm sure Paul will be able to get it back up and running when he gets back. Thanks again.

Lowengrin.com is back up. Has been for a couple weeks now. I forgot to follow up on this link after Klaiber mentioned it to me. In my defense, I was touring around Alsace and Lorraine taking in the wine harvests and seeing the sights.

ahoy

Anyhow, IL2DCG 3.43 is now available. It updates DCG to 4.09 with its new planes and adds/fixes a few other things.

Get it here: http://www.lowengrin.com/download.php?view.134
