Goods news for anyone who's having a hard time finding EECH. GOG have republished a download version. It is version 1.11.1 (but no mods so come back and install the allMods patch), and no DRM and costs just $5.99. http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/comanche_vs_hokum

I just had to re-buy it (and Apache Havoc) from GOG. Now I don't have to worry about losing my CD.

is it the same thing, where EECH uses EEAH files to let you fly all 4 under one game... like the orginal did?

Magnum, I think the latest EECH Central patch enables all 4 helicopters without the need for AH (and with full 3D cockpits to boot), but you may need to install the cockpits separately for that, even if you do have AH. As for the campaigns, you'll have all you'd have with the merged install, plus a lot more, if you install the "all mods" package (highly recommended). So, it seems to me that Apache vs. Havoc is now completely obsolete/unnecessary.
I may be wrong, though, since I never installed EECH without installing EEAH before... anyone from EECH Central around?

thx... well i got both from GOG (I really like that site, got a few classics from them), I installed both and EECH is looking SWEET at 1920x1200x32...
The version is 1.11.1... so is that the proper updated version, and what mod(s) is recommended and will work for this new download version... some of the stickies listed said a CD was require?

With EEAH install you get working gauages for the Havoc cockpit. This is the only difference. Sticky was written before a download version was released. The download version should work as well as the CD version. You want the allMods package to get all the mods. And the 1.11.1 exe (because allMods will install the older 1.11.0 on top of what you have. You could just copy the 1.11.1 cohokum.exe out, install allMods then copy it back. Or just install cohokum-1.11.1 again afterwards).

This is amazing, picked them up. I've come so close to paying way too much for these games, the few times I've found it online. $6 ea...just incredible. Love the mods! It even runs like a champ on my netbook for a quick fix.

Yes, GoG is a bright spot in the software biz these days. I picked up Ghost Recon cheap. Runs great on my modest machines and NO FRIGGIN' CD required!

I also bought EECH from GOG Games, because one of my computers had a problem with the Installshield Installer of the original EECH CD. I tried to install it on Windows 7, and it just would not work. (On my other W7 machine though, the installation went flawless.  ) By buying the GOG version, i was able to circumvent that problem. I must say that this is really an excellent deal! Cheap, fast, instant download (i payed by Paypal). GOG really is a cool site with lots of interesting offerings.

I notice my original EEAH and EECH CD's sometimes will not read in my DVDRW player and if they do read it takes forever to read them.Must be a format issue with the older CD's.It sucks.
