I guess this 'Share' thingy is a new forum feature? Is there a way to get rid of it? It's very annoying.
My cursor generally rests over it's hover area, and when I scroll the thread using my mouse wheel, the darn thing keeps constantly popping up. It's really getting on my nerves.

I claim ignorance on this. I can't find any way to disable it in individual settings, so it must be a global feature. We'll get back with you.

i don't see the "share" option today, although i think it was there yesterday? You don't see it right underneath your Registered date, number of posts and Location text? Aviar

That didn't work. The Registered, Posts and Loc(ation) information moved, but the annoying 'Share' feature did not.
I'm curious why you thought that would work. I mean...did it work for you?

So, if it's true that YOU don't see this feature, maybe we can figure out what it is about your setup that allows you to disable it.
However, I see that in the screenshot in your second post, you do have this feature.

Well, somehow it's now fixed for me. It doesn't pop up anymore unless I click on it.

The overlay is still there but the cursor hover function seems to be disabled. I still get a small text window that pops up, but it's a lot smaller than before the fix. I would still prefer to disable it completely, but as Mick Jagger once said.."You can't always get what you want." Aviar

Same for me; yesterday there was a rollover popup in all forums, and today I see no popup at all in all forums.

it seems obvious to me that guod is tweaking the website. my fix did work but now guod changed something and my fix no longer works!
i was not drunk or smoking any herbal remedies when i posted that i was able to eliminate the Share thing.
yesterday when i set it to "User Info on Side" the "Share" thing was not there. today it is there even with the setting on user info on side.
