I was born in February of 68...so I was a kid raised in the 70's. I realize that I'm not as old as some of the geezers floating around here, but I start to feel it more and more these days.
The other night my wife and I watched The Wizard of Oz...I looked it up and there are like only 2 surviving folks that played kids in the movie and one of them is 106 years old. Then I rewatched Band of Brothers that was being shown around Veterans Day...and realized there are no surviving members of Easy company that was portrayed in the show. Growing up and well into adulthood...there was always WWII vets around. Now AI says there are only 0.5% still alive.
It's not just old stuff either. I've always been somewhat "hip" to the Pixar/Dreamworks kids movies and we watched them together. Last week my daughter had to remind me that the movie "Frozen" came out 12 years ago...I pretty much lost my cool. "What!!...no way!" I didn't believe her and looked it up...sure enough it came out in 2013.
Not sure why I'm posting this...perhaps misery loves company.
