Thanks. That is actually what I was doing. I cut back throttle and expected to lose altitude. The RPMs drop then come back up. It is like it is trying to keep me from landing.
Then I do dive to get lower and, yep, airspeed picks up so too fast.
I tried going into the joystick configure area and the throttle seems to be working fine. Maybe I'll try that again and let it sit there all the way back and for a bit and see if it kicks back up.
I have one of the first 100 Cougars that were sold so it is a bit old. Also not liking the Cougar joystick now as well. Can't afford at warthog so may just look at other sitck / throttle / pedal combos that will work here and in other sims.
