There's something I miss from past versions, though I don't recall at what point it was dropped. There was once an additional terrain/scenery season - Winter Medium Snow, or something named similar. It was somewhere in between the two snow variations we have now for winter. I think it would be cool if it made a return.

@Gecko,

Mixed winter/medium snow tiles were available in the WoFF UE/PE vers., but removed from base-install BH&H2. Technically, it can be replicated via a DIY JSGME install in BH&H2 onwards: i.e., create a terrains folder that mixes light snow and heavy snow tiles - and load as per taste/season/month via JSGME. Cpl. of representative pics below of such a DIY mixed-snow variant from the period in which I experimented with a base BH&H2 install, before doing a UE/PE/BH&H2/OTT hybrid compilation* for myself.

Cheers all & good seasonal tile tweaking to you in the WoFF series,
smile2

* Disclaimer: in order to do hybrid compilations, users must own all such versions of WoFF, and your mileage may vary depending on rig setup/combo/peripherals. Always recommended is to stick with mainstream/supported WoFF installs, for stability and simplicity.

Thanks for that info, I'll have to look into it. However, think there have been some decent upgrades, and I would have to manually put it in each time I wanted to use it, since WOFF does the seasons automatically. Very much a stopgap, but certainly the best that can be done right now. I still hope for something official with it properly integrated with the software working as the devs designed it.

I'm really enjoying the latest updates to WOFF, the new aircraft are a Godsend although the Albatros two seater is no easy target. In terms of flying the Albatros though, can we have the F11 bombsight view added please?

Cheers

"A great deal of an aeroplane could be holed without affecting its ability to fly. Wings and fuselage could be—and often were—pierced in 50 places, missing the occupants by inches (blissfully unaware of how close it had come until they returned to base). Then the sailmaker would carefully cover each hole with a square inch of Irish linen frayed at the edges and with a brushful of dope make our aircraft 'serviceable' again within an hour."

Since Rise of flight teased us with lovely seaplane models but no campaign missions/mechanics at all to use them in, I would love to see seaplanes like the F2A Felixtowe, Hanriot HD.2, Hansbradenburg W.29 (or any version) and maybe a short 184 or whatever models are compatible historically to fly the whole war.

Seaplane combat was a very common thing in WW1 (The Hansa Brandenburg had a great service record and was popular), In ROF you cant even do anything to shipping with them despite the Felixtowe having that big recoiless rifle on it in the game. The devs admitted they wanted to make campaign missions for them but it got forgotten which was a huge waste. Even picking a home defense squadron in ROF was useless because again, the devs never made any mechanics for bombers or zepplins attacking the UK mainland so you never encounter anything but anyway

I also loved flying seaplane campaigns with the in IL-2 1946s BAT mod. Since WOFF easily beats IL-2's WW1 module and every other WW1 sim, I would love to see them included in WOFF.

I think requests for new planes get carried away here but seaplanes would not only be models but add a very important area of WW1 and also add more playability.

Next idea:

frozen Ice-points on the "Player Goggles Glass" in WS for winter time and / or very high altitudes (maybe with pilot winter clothes).

Greetings
