I should be more aware.Thanks.
Have ammo drops been boosted or something?
Usually with my normal play I have to craft some ammo occasionally, but lately I just keep seeing a net positive and have a couple thousand rounds on me for each gun, just from pickups. I had actually run out of lead, and since then the ammunition has been dropping like rain and my lead stocks have recovered.

.
The ammo drops during events and especially Daily Ops have definitely been increased. I'm just not sure on exactly when the change was implemented. When I first started playing the game 3 years ago the ammo drops were much lower. edit: Correction, I've been playing F76 since October 2020 so just over 3.5 years!

Is the pipboy thing just a skin, or does it have another function if you enable it?

Just a skin, has no effect on gameplay. Just the thematic hoop they make you jump through to qualify for the event rewards. But rewards like three free perk packs are worth the effort in my view

F76 is the game where you never actually use about 90% of the skins you've unlocked.

Yeah, PM, ammo drops, Didn't mean to ignore your reply. Events are no longer guaranteed ammunition deficits, and as a result I'm maintaining stocks and not needing to craft any. Long may it last.
Been playing a little more the past week or two. Watching Wigean blow right past me woke me up. I began to feel like my build was holding me back a bit so I made some changes. Ended up dropping six points from Luck and putting three each in INT and CHA. Higher INT increases XP, and the Charisma I used to add a three-star Inspirational for another 15% XP gain. These two moves aren't massive difference makers, but I'm leveling faster. I had to trade out some defense and quality of life, but nothing I'll miss all that much.
Money's been a bit of a problem, and I mean having too much. Always up against the cap, and buying bullion from Smiley only goes so far. So I popped by a player vendor to see if I could find anything to blow money on and he had an anti-armor railway rifle. Haven't used these, but they are well regarded, and if I can get an automatic receiver will fit nicely in to my commando build, and maybe something to run out at events. I can craft them, so I made like twenty at pretty high material cost to scrap for plans, and out of all of them I learned like two or three modifications. Good grief. What a waste. I'll keep at it, but I hope it is worth it!

I have been maxed out on gold buillons for a while now. Not sure what the smartest use of them are. Any ideas? Currently on level 232, score rank 100 today and I have 1965 tickets. Redused the number of events. Doing daily and weekly challenges instead. I think that removes some of the feel of grinding. I just finished the spring cleaning. Daily chllenges are done for today. Weekly only needs completion of tomorrows next daily challenge. (phew).

What I've been doing for a long time now is spending gold on the lunchboxes and the extra carry weight drinks. You said you've been wanting to level up faster so the lunchboxes are perfect for that.

I blew several thousand bullion on jet packs for SS and Ultracite to get away from the cap
Oh, you said the SMARTEST way to spend it... yeah, I don't know
(Turns out you need flux to craft the SS jetpack, so that's on the back burner)

Check out as many player camps with vending machines as you can. I've run into quite a few of them which were selling stable flux.

Good advice I am not all that likely to follow haha. I think I need just three --two of one and one of another -- but shopping camps isn't my thing. I should do as you say however.
I hadn't realized that the jetpacks take up a misc slot. I thought I'd have to give something up to add it, but not the case. How do you fly? Hold space?

It just never interested me. As for the stable flux, the only other option is to do the events that give you stable flux as a reward like Scorched Earth, Seismic Activity and the Earle event in the mine.

That's surprising, but then I've gone 420 hours without it too.
I can also pick the flora up from the ground in a nuke zone. Just need a couple and I think it would be fun to try, especially to reach shooting perches and evade trouble.

I really like the jetpack. Helpful to put me in nice positions when defending. Sniping with the Cremator from rooftops is entertaining.

Yes you can make your own stable flux but it's a bit of a pain and takes some patience since you have to wait until there's an irradiated area for you to pick the flora.

Yes it is. I'll get around to it sooner or later. I'd like to at least try the jetpack, maybe I'll like it.

Cool. I've rather put it on hold for a bit, but I like having new map to explore, and new enemies are always good. The Lost freak me out a little since they keep talking long after they're dead. Shut up already. Hit level 195, so the target 200 is not far now. But then I'll need new goals. Never ends
