I completely misunderstood how the vouchers worked. Got a bunch of them which made the discount like -75% off. I assumed this now applied to all future purchases so I started at the top of the list and bought a car, a cheap one too, at a major discount, saving very little. Obvi you should use these for the most expensive cars derp derp.. But it doesn't really matter as I'll soon have them all, but it is eating in to my piles of paper.

What's your favorite vehicle in Cyberpunk now? In the first run I didn't buy any cars or bikes since you get a bunch of them for free. I rode Jackie's Arch mostly, plus the cave Caliburn. But this time I have a fleet. And the one I drive/ride the most is the Nazare Racer. Nice low rumble engine note, docile handling, good speed. I think the yellow one is identical aside from the color. I'm not a fan of the driving in this game, but the Nazare is pretty good.

For weapons I am rolling with this mainly

Slot 1 -- For most of the game I have carried Dying Night, silenced. But I recently got Cheetah and attached a suppressor and am using this right now. Both of these are very effective in different ways.

Slot 2 -- This is my rotation slot, and can hold either a shotgun, SMG or AR at any time. But mainly Widow Maker precision rifle.

Slot 3 -- Overwatch. The only suppressed sniper rifle in Cyberpunk. +300% headshot damage (plus my build is focused on this) results in damage numbers near 2000 when the head is shot from stealth.

I use grenades a lot too. I love that laser grenade. A stealth grenade, who would have imagined?

I'm still playing through Dogtown, mixing it up with main game stuff. The Takemura line is all done, just have to meet Hanako at Embers, so I'll hold off on that for a while. I managed to get one of the achievements for completing all gigs and hustles in a borough, this one in Watson (It's Elementary). There must be a few hundred of these over the entire map. Not sure I'll get any others as it is a grind. But when run 1 finished I regretted not getting at least one of these, so focused on it this time around. For what it is worth there is one scanner hustle that is completed outside of Watson. So if you get stuck when all seem to be done, let me know and I'll see which one it was.

For build I went like this so far (level 52?)

Cool 20
Tech 20
Intelligence 18
Body 9
Reflexes 8 (I'll take this to 9 to unlock the second level of perks, then top off Int)

Stealth works pretty well when you're specced in to it. When crouched it says enemy vis is 33% with my current arrangement and that makes sneaking around quite effective, and with additional stealth damage multiplier this all works very well. There are many gigs and missions that have optional stealth objectives and I go this route when possible, giving Cyberpunk a bit of a Hitman vibe. I had a mission to steal a medical truck off a ship that was heavily guarded. My contact said go at night when fewer guards and workers are around, so I went at noon, and methodically made my way through the ship and docks, choking out every single one in turn while using hacking to distract and take over and disable cameras. Then I just drove the truck off the ship.

Yes, hold off on that until you are good and ready because it's a "point of no return" mission once you kick it off. It will set some story progression elements in motion that can't be undone unless you reload your save game.

Yeah for sure. I've finished it once of course so knew to hold off, although I doubt anything would change, right? I mean, if I met her tonight and finished the main quest line, everything else would stay the same, aside from anything that involves Rogue or Johnny I guess. No matter, I'll save it for last or thereabouts. I took the Star route the first time, and I think I'll go Temperance this time to switch it up a bit.

Now that I think about it, Silverhand is all over the Dogtown stuff. What would happen there if I finished the main quest and returned to PL? I guess Silverhand would still be there as if the story hadn't finished yet.

There is a Dogtown ending instead of the NC triple if you choose certain PhL quest paths.

I think for cars I kinda liked the Type 66s, kinda old school muscle cars...at least compared to the other options. They had ok handling and decent speed while not being too large. There's probably better ones now that the handling is a bit better for most cars since the game first came out.
On my first playthrough I took a while to unlock any cars or bikes so I spent a fair amount of time in the maimai P126. Not particularly fast, but since I didn't have motorcycles the size allowed it to squeeze through traffic easily. Made getting around the busy city easy.

The motorcycles are the best way to get around if you want speed due to the size and speed. So easy to just cut through traffic in those things. Unless I'm just killing time I just use either Jackie or Scorpion's bikes.

+1 This is exactly my mind set with the game. I'd say 80-90% of the time I was using a motorcycle instead of a car to get around.

I'm nearly done with run two, and wanted to ask if anyone has an opinion about how I should finish up. On the main quest side I have to meet Hanako, which leads to the main game ending. About three more missions unique to that ending path, if i recall correctly.

In Phantom Liberty I have about three main quest missions to go, but I don't know if it follows the same route as the main quest, generating a few new missions unique to this ending.

If I also recall correctly, once you finish the main quest you can revert the point of no return to try another option.

So in your opinion, what's the preferred path? Just go straight PL? Finish PL first and then the main quest? Or the opposite, finish main quest, revert to point, and then finish PL? I realize it doesn't matter all that much, but I'd like to hear any opinions about a good route to take here so I can make up my mind.

Yeah exactly, and I did the same in run 1, but now I have a massive fleet of cars and bikes. Don't like the cars much if I'm honest. I mean the designs and sounds are really cool, but driving them isn't all that much fun. I did get the Autojock achievement for owning all cars, but I don't own all cars. I guess since new ones were added, you do not have to actually buy them all to trip the achievement. There are probably six or eight I have yet to buy.

From what I understand out of 4 ways of going through Phantom Liberty, only 1 adds a new ending to the game, I went down another path and didn't get that one.

With the main missions, anytime you beat one of the endings they give you an iconic piece of gear and drop you right off in front of Embers to meet with Hanako to either finish off any side stuff our try other endings.

I got the new ending and was really impressed with how well written it was. It was definitely one of the most poignant endings I've experienced in any PC game.

Thanks gentlemen. Maybe I should go see Hanako, do the Temperance ending there. Then revert and finish Dogtown and see that ending too. This is possible right? I can't say I'll do a third run of this game, but maybe, so I think I want to knock out a couple endings with this one. Did Star first time through.

Yeah, that's the Star ending. Going the Aldecaldos and Panam route.

Jumped down to an area I could not get out of last night, but noticed one of those kick down ladders in games normally required to be kicked down from above(use key), yet could not reach. I shot the ladder, and the ladder extended and dropped, allowing me to climb.

That was nice. smile

Oops. I got "Stars" mixed up with the ending where you are in a space suit in space heading out to that off-world casino.

LOL, that's a thing?

Maybe I'll just hand it all over to Silverhand. He's gonna live a more exciting life I think haha.

Or maybe the solo route, since throughout this game my V has been saying he wants to be remembered, be a legend. That fits.

Bah, I can't make up my mind.

But since you can revert maybe I'll try a few of them.

I've read that the PL ending is bad. Not quality, but outcome. Depressing.

Without spoiling it, it's not "bad" per se but there is a big change. The only clue I'll give is think of what happened in Superman II. smile

I think that was the Sun ending. Probably the two best endings in the game.

The Devil is miserable, but you learn a ton of background on the Arisaka family and a lot of context of what's going on in the game. I recommend anyone to do it at least once. I hate the ending of it though.

If I ever play through the game again, I'll finish the PL story a bit later rather than right away. It's kinda silly going to Rogue at near max level and everyone acting like they never heard of you when you nuked the Voodoo Boys, saved the NUSA prez,
killed Kurt Hansen
, and took out a MaxTac convoy. Granted the two in Dogtown were really on the downlow and nobody would believe you if you told 'em.

This game is vastly superior to GTA V, one reason being because you aren't forced to play total #%&*$# and surrounded by constant degenerate scum.

The second is there is always something to do.

The third is the map/markers/routing/etc. fits in perfectly with the cyberpunk theme of high tech.

The fourth is the game is first person native.

The fifth is the plot has a lot of depth and is quite interesting at times.

The sixth is the gunplay is excellent and doesn't punish you for using first person aiming.

I'm very close now to reinstalling this game thanks to this thread discussion. I've been planning on holding off reinstalling until I finish Starfield.
