Same here. I'm pretty sure Dune part 2 is the only film I'll be seeing in the movie theater this year.

Yep. There aren't many movies that I really want to see in a theatre any more. Dune is the only one for me this year as well. Last year it was Oppenheimer, and in 2022 it was Top Gun 2. So three movies in three years. The quality of movies in general has dropped, there used to be several movies a year I was eagerly awaiting to see.

New Guy Ritchie film coming out later this year, The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare
I'm looking forward to this. Having read a book about their exploits it will be interesting to see where it goes. Hopefully they will do them justice but we'll see.
If you watch Jaws backwards, it's a heart warming story about a shark that spits out so many people that they have to open a beach.
Ministry looks like it will be fun. I like pretty much all of Guy Ritchie’s movies. Also nice to see Alan Ritchson, he’s great in Reacher.

The special edition is better in my opinion because it goes into more detail about who the aliens are and why they did what they did. It just has a more fleshed out ending with more of a dramatic payoff. I saw the theatrical version when it was first released in 1989 and I felt that the ending was rather anti-climactic.

It is indeed a good film but it definitely seems to be the "forgotten film" by Cameron. Terminator, Avatar, Titanic and Aliens all have firmly established themselves in popular culture but hardly anyone today talks about or even remembers The Abyss outside of hardcore sci-fi fans. Heck, I'd even say that True Lies is remembered more mostly due to that epic and absurd Harrier sequence in downtown Miami.
