Season 1 of Man in the High Castle. Weird premise, I'm not sure how Japan and Germany could have invaded the US, but it's an interesting premise. Gets weird with the videos though. Where do they come from? Who wants them? Some of the writing and acting seems well done and I'm interested enough to continue on and watch the next season.
I watched the first 2 seasons, part way through the third I gave it up. That is just me though. I prefer my shows to be somewhat reality based. Once fantasy and science fiction enter the scene, I lose interest. I did make it through 2 seasons though ! I tried. The time period is what kept my interest for that long.

I guess this Richard the first guy was pretty important!
The Caliphate should have just asked for a lesser amount of gold. It would have made the logistics of transport easier.

We've watched 4 episodes. So far, we like it. It has a slightly different approach versus all the other Detective series we watch.
Magnum is a "real man" who, on one hand, risks his life and fights to the death if necessary (Vietnam flashbacks show what he's been through). He knows how to deal with people -- and he's faced with all different kinds. But, on the other hand, he's a fun ladies' man and fun guy in general (without being silly as actors do in some Detective Series). As TV series go, he's a believable "hero".
Interestingly, he does his own stunts (and has the body for it). All in all, doing stunts has hurt him over 50 years of acting.

One of my favorite series, I own it on DVD. Something I rarely do, buy a series.
It's cool to see the cars/technology of the era of my youth.
Love the interaction of Magnum / Higgins. Actually the interaction all the main cast is very good, they are the very best of friends even when it seems they can't stand one another.

Agree, agree. As my Wife and I watch, our minds wander back to the "good old days". And, character interactions are fun and multi-faceted -- without seeming unbelievable.

It wasn't the Caliphate who held him, but on his way home he was captured by some lesser Austrian lord whom he p*ssed off on the crusade. That lord then handed him over to the Kaiser who then demanded the ransom.

I can't think of a time Tom Selleck wasn't amazing. I love him in the Jesse Stone series.
I was a kid for most of time Magnum PI ran on TV so I never watched it. Sure, I saw bits of scenes here and there while channel surfing but it was not a show that caught my attention since I was mostly watching animated shows and sitcoms at that time of my life.

I watched the first episode last night. It didn't grab my attention like the first ep of GoT did if I'm honest.
I will continue though.
The first season has a lot of character set up and political intrigue at first but then the impending civil war starts to ramp up.

Never heard of this one. I looked it up and it's a pretty obscure low budget movie that had a very limited theatrical run 33 years ago.
