The tiny little 'tank' (2nd picture) was called 'Goliath' which proves without doubt that the Germans had a sense of humour. Proves that not only did they have a sense of humor, but it was sometimes even funny.

The mother of the holocaust novel's author committed suicide in a bath by cutting her wrists. It was depicted in cartoon form with a mouse. Banned for its obvious sexual lewdness. Also, after a harrowing story of mass murder, cruelty, images of degradement, the hanging of mice children, the hopelessness of an entire generation, a cartoon mouse character says the word b*tch. Apologies for the confusion.

UFA even made quite a few well known comedy films during the Third Reich era with probably "Munchausen" being the best known.

I would disagree . . . 13 years old is still too young. Plenty of time to teach (young) adults about the world's ugliness; no need to wallow in it as children.

I knew of all kinds of nasty, horrible and grotesque things that humans were capable of well before 13. (I've been shooting people out of the sky in flight simulators since I was 8, and mowing down Nazis in Wold3d before that)

I think reality began to dawn upon me when I was swallowed by a dragon in Atari 2600 "Adventure." Watching my square body twitch helplessly inside the green lizard beast's belly was unsettling to my eight year old mind. A year before that when I was seven I had the unfortunate self-induced experience of watching "The Shining" on television.

I had the unfortunate self-induced experience of watching "The Shining" on television.
Heh, my dad let me watch several movies that were quite inappropriate for my age and "The Shining" was one of those. I had trouble sleeping alone in my room for a few days after I saw it.

Well remember that 'all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy'........I repeat On a related note, it was long believed/assumed that the pages you see in the film with that famous line repeated continuously were simply photocopies of the original sheet of paper but nope! In classic Stanley Kubrick perfectionist fashion, he actually had someone manually type all of those sheets of paper.
