Wife and I went to see Darkest Hour Tuesday night. If your a WW2 history buff, I believe you will like it. I have one complaint, but will withhold it until others have seen it. The trailers for this one make me want to actually see a movie at the theater for a change. Wheels

My SIster took me to see the original SW back in 77, I was 13, but we never saw any of the others together so now I take her to see the new ones (VII, VIII) and today was the day for
Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I liked it. Its Star Wars, it is what it is. I am just not going to critique it because I just accept and enjoy SW movies, except the first 2(they gave the background, but sucked to me), the 3rd, Mehhh it was better. Nuff Said!!
The big splurge for me was that I ordered online, used my phone to check us in at the door(never done that LoL) and we went and saw the movie
in Dolby Digital Cinema with reserved recliner seating. I have a dam nice Little Home Theater with a 9.1 Dolby Atmos Speaker set up with
really nice old school Quality speakers that I Love to watch movies at home with,
BUT WHOA!!! THIS WAS COMPLETELY AWESOME!!!
The seats were so comfortable, spacious and reclined, the picture qaulity was absolutely Beautiful, but what really got me was the SOund.
OMG!!! The bass Literally shook the place severely and the movement of sound was incredible. It is a good thing I do not see very many movies
in the movie theater because after 34$ worth of tickets and 21$ for 2 small drinks and a medium popcorn I would go broke. Well needless to
say, what movies I do view at the theater will be in one of theses theaters. I absolutely Loved it.

Blade Runner 2049.
Mediocre. Not gonna watch that again that's for sure.
If you watch Jaws backwards, it's a heart warming story about a shark that spits out so many people that they have to open a beach.

This trilogy ended on a very poignant note. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It just didn't grab my attention.At first I didn't think I'd even make it through the whole thing but after an hour it picked up. I don't mind the running time/lack of action if the script is good.Quite honestly I don't think it needed to be made. The original was a classic,I knew it would be hard to match that. My mum has got me watching some of her favourite movies. At the weekend we thoroughly enjoyed 'The Way To The Stars' (Johnny In The Clouds). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0038238/ The great thing about those old war movies is that all the vehicles/aircraft were current. So lots of Blenheims, Douglas A20 Havocs (used by the Brits) B-17's and Lancs. Stirring stuff! What I find very interesting about so many of those WW II era films is the air of innocence they often had when it came to portraying human relationships (especially between men and women). It was most definitely a different era.

Indeed. This film was very low on action and was more about relationships (innocent as you say) between a British woman and an RAF pilot and later with an American pilot. Spoiler... both pilots died. That wouldn't get past Hollywood now,everyone wants a happy ending.

I watched Mr. Right the other night, first movie in weeks... Great movie.  Fun, great dialogue, neat characters, reminded me of a new version of "A Whole Nine Yards" but different.

OK here's on for ya Just finished watching Rambo 2 movie totally sucks but when he tells the POW's "You're going home" it's worth the price of admission to me...I do believe there are some left behind

LOL Rambo 2! I love the scene where he's flying the Huey and trying to get away from the Soviet Hind and then crashes and then miraculously pulls out an RPG and destroys the Hind.

Liike I said PM movie sucks but sometimes the old stupid movies are worth watching sometimes just for one scene and the " you're going home " and I do believe some were left behind And " I want my country to love me as much as i love it" ...moves me..Most of Stallone's movies are hokey I liked First Blood because i can associate with coming home and Rambo 3 was crap except where he says "He would do it for me" and the Rocky series was OK love the part where he tells Mr.T "I'm still standing " but those old movies are mostly time wasters but better than Steve Wilkos or Opra when it's too damn cold to go outside

I watched a film called "1922" last night. It's based on a Stephen King story. Not bad, but pretty depressing. Not exactly the "Feel Good Movie Of The Year!" type of flick.

I just re-watched Star Wars Episode I.
I can't say it's a good film, but I've seen worse. And the light saber battle with Darth Maul was great.
I think I'm going to fish out my copy of Bubba Hotep to cleanse my movie palet.
