Looking how Arya reacted to the play, I feel she will play a Bruce Wayne and betray the Faceless men like he did with the League of Shadows.

Most certainly. And I bet when asked for the final time who she is, she will defiantly say "Arya Stark!" instead of "no one".

This seems more and more likely. Coldhands (or even plain Benjen in some form, seeing as Coldhands never was part of the series, only the books) is the only entity left north of the Wall that could step in and help at this point, unless there's someone I've missed. I highly doubt Meera makes it all the way south on her own dragging Bran behind her.

That's why my dancing instructor told me if I'm guarding my flower one way then I'm inviting to get my card marked another.

It bothers me a little bit that the wights are getting more and more "World War Z" zombie-like. Incredibly quick, and powerful enough to tear through walls and doors. The wights of the first few seasons were slow and bumbling, although powerful. The way they broke into the cave and crawled along the roof and walls was a bit over the top, IMO.

Next season, they'll introduce a Maester from the Citadel specialized in teaching alchemy who is suffering from terminal cancer and, together with his student Sam Tarly, is cooking "shade of the evening" under an alias in order to support his family, while navigating the dangers of the criminal underworld of Oldtown.

And Margaery will receive an orange robe and be thrown into a dungeon with other female "sinners".

I only just bought Season 5... damn it's going to be a long wait for Six.

Knowing the books I don't mind the spoilers, most of it has been pretty much guessed. But to actually see it...

What sucks is knowing that this thing just got started and we're already halfway through the season. Isn't it time for their BS "make it seem like a longer season" mid-season break?

HBO doesn't do that with a 10 ep run. Remember, they plan sequentially. When GoT is done another series will take that time slot in the hopes that people keep their sub year-round. They don't care how many people watch a given day of the week, just how many pay in order to watch anything.



The Jedi Master

Brought a tear to my eye.

Well, I think it's been an okay season so far with some flashes of brilliance.

A few things that are kind of lacking:

1) The Most Beautiful Woman In The World. That actress is the only thing that has kept my attention to the Sand Snakes. Bron wasn't far off the mark, even by Westeros standards.

If the Sand Snakes, and by extension Dorne, wind up with anything more victorious than a modicum of autonomy when the battles are waged I'm calling foul, however. With winter coming, it will bloom and become vital to feeding the rest of the kingdoms.

2) Davos needs to find out what happened on the way to Winterfell and chop of the Red Witch's head. Or, alternately, she needs purification by fire.

3) Enough with Queen Margery in a cell looking like crap. I demand the return of the cleavage dresses. Do it next episode, writers, or I will rant on the Internet about it.

4) NOBODY is calling Cerce out for making the Faith Militant in the first place. F--k me, Lady Olena* should have verbally slapped her down for it about ten different times.

Well done!

1) Holding back on using the dragon against the Dothraki to free Denarius. Hurray! I was cringing at the though of the literal Deux Ex Machina being used more than once.

No comment on how she's going to eliminate slavery with the Dothraki tribes; it ain't happening.

2) The scene with Grey Worm, Missandrei, and Tyrion where he tries to do some small talk. It summed up the two sides of Team Dragon so well and showed the challenges they face. It's hard to have palace intrigue when you're the only one capable of scheming, little man. Seeing him struggling with two people who are honest to a fault without ulterior motives was precious!

3) Hodor. No comment required.

4) While a lot of fans hate it, I like them following Sam and Gilly. They could have written Sam as pure comic relief and the occasional source of "hand-wavium," but they made him much more than that. If any character embodies what one would be like if suddenly transported to Westeros, most of us would be a version of Sam.

All this talk about Swords, I have picked up and held an Indian Sword (not sure what else to call it, maybe a Scimitar?) it was long wide and curved and weighed nearly 30lbs IIRC, definitely a two handed weapon that you had to really swing if you wanted to do anything lethal and on the other side a Japanese Katana which was exceptionally light and balanced and historically sharp as a razor blade. I cook for a living so the value of a sharp light blade or a heavy one is not lost on me. While the heavy one could deal a massive blow after a few swings it would be exhausting, whereas the Katana could slice dice and skewer many times with a lesser effort but the fighting style for these two weapons is completely different, you wouldn't swing the large weapon like a windmill and you wouldn't hack away with the Light blade, so I think that matching the weapons to a particular style of swordplay is important for looking correct on screen. No one is going into a fight with a 4 foot Claymore and twirling it around like a Light Sabre but that seems to be the style that every sword and sorcery film or show seems to use.

For my son's High School Graduation he got a long sword along with two wasters, and it was fun looking at old Medieval documents on how they used them and mucking about with the wooden ones trying a few things (mostly the grappling moves).

I'd say five minutes of continuously using it is about right for a fit person, but if one is fighting for more than five minutes that involves swinging the thing, it's all bad. There are natural breaks in fighting, and usually the guys wound up pressed up against each other - which is why there's so much emphasis on grappling moves and using one hand on the blade.

Hell, King Arthur wound up using his scabbard and finally a bit of broken spear to win his fight.

Half swording they call it when you hold the blade. Most longswords only weigh 3-4 lbs and they can be very springy. Half swording helps you ram it into a gap in the other guy's armour.

Helloooooo, Mr. Coldhands. Looks like we've got that one right.

Makes sense in the context of the show to have kept it out for so long. In the books it is easier to maintain the suspension of disbelief, and keep your doubts on the identity of Coldhands. In the show, even covering his face, it would be easier to tell.

The confrontation between the Faith and the Tyrells/Jaimie left me with a severe case of violence blue balls. I really hope Marjorie is just playing along and someone can snap Micro King out of it. But I think he is dead anyway, so...

Still hoping for Cleganebowl.

Daenerys went from leading the Dothraki on the desert, promising them to conquer the Seven Kingdoms, and being the Mother of Dragons to...eh!...same old, same old.

Anyway, this episode was a lot of setup for much more cool things to come.

Looks like lady stoneheart is coming now that Riverun is in the picture...and Jaime and Brienne will be reuniting there too
