I saw "The Gift" which was a very well written and directed film by Joel Edgerton. It's a psychological thriller that is pretty unique when conpated to your typical Hollywood fare.

The Machine - A low budget British sci-fi film about AI from a few years back starring Caity Lotz. Decent film but no match for Ex Machina in my opinion (completely different, really). This film came up several times in Ex Machina discussions, so I thought I'd check it out.

"Man of a Thousand Faces" with James Cagney. I never saw it before but during a conversation about Lon Chaney a friend recommended seeing it. It had it's 1950's 'Father Knows Best' schmaltzyness, but Cagney did a very good job portraying one of films iconic pioneers.
I don't think I've ever seen any James Cagney film in its entirety.

GF put up with 2 of my movies, Child 44 which was a good dark movie with Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Noomi Rapace so I let her pick the next movie which she wanted to laugh.
I wasn't expected much because I can take or leave Vince Vaughn but this movie was hysterical! Stupid crap and the kid (Dave Franco, just found out he's James Franco's brother) from Neighbors was a freaking HOOT!
