Just watched "Jurassic World" last night. It's a decent summer popcorn movie which definitely requires you to turn off your brain.
And I'm sorry but Bryce Dallas-Howard is a bland actress. There are so many other actresses they could have cast who would have been better.
saw it with my kids 2 weeks ago, we all liked it. I'm a sucker for red heads and find her hot. I liked her in The Village as well. She's no A lister, but was there any in this movie? They obviously weren't spending money on A listers.

The success of Guardians of the Galaxy made Chris Pratt an A-lister. I bet you anything he got paid a lot more for his role in Jurassic World than he did for Guardians.
As for Bryce Dallas-Howard, she's average looking at best and she definitely needs a few burgers every day. I'm not a fan of the emaciated look.

I don't know about Jurassic World because he was filming it before GotG released, so it likely didn't affect his pay at all.
However, I did hear that for his next film, Passengers, an SF romance film co-starring Jennifer Lawrence, he got a $2m pay bump from $10m to $12m based on JW's performance. The $10m was for GotG. I think he got Jurassic World just because he did GotG, the contract would've been signed before anyone knew how it would turn out.
Meanwhile, Lawrence is getting I believe $20m for Passengers because she definitely is the bigger name of the two right now.

I'm pretty surprised he got that much for GotG because before that film he was relatively unknown.

No, he didn't get $10m for GotG. I don't know what he made, but probably little. He was going to get it for Passengers based on his performance in GotG. Jurassic World bumped that up $2m more.
I'm sure GotG2 will net him a big payday as well.

At least "Collateral" wasn't a box office bomb like his last film.

Strange there are 720p copies of it when the European release was just a couple of months ago.
I haven't watched it but it looks like it may be silly dumb fun - better than some of the reboots and remakes we have been subjected to recently by Hollywood:

I saw Mockingjay Part 1. Ok. Other than high production values, and notable appearance of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, nothing really to take note of. Oh, Julianne Moore is finally middle-aged now, so there's that.

I enjoyed it just as much as the first. I will say that this one is absolutely great for Star Trek fans.

I brought my 14 yr old son and his grandfather, my son hadn't seen the first one yet but his grandfather and I were dying it was so funny. One part we almost passed out laughing so hard. My son watched the first one when he got back and thought they were about the same.
His grandfather and I thought 2 was funnier even though there were some boring spots.
Watched the Bourne Trilogy on BD again (the fourth one doesn't exist in my universe). Still very good, but boy has Bourne Identity gotten old! It's odd to see CRT displays in what - in my memory - is still filed under "contemporary action spy thriller".
