Oh, forgot to mention that I watched "Sinister Urge" last night directed by none other than Ed Wood. This was the MST3K version of course!

I hate Johnny! He is a sorry actor who keeps getting roles that he shouldn't and he play the same role: the retarded crazy bipolar psychotic got a nut or two screwed up character role!
He's ok in the Pirate movies, but there are very few that I liked of him in a normal roll. I think his best was Secret Window, old movie but very good.
While away getting hitched in Scotland a new TV series started here called Outlander, not the Chris Robert's SciFi one but one set in Scotland where a lass touches a standing stone and is transported back from 1945 to 1743. So far it is not too bad, nice romance for the wife, but lacking in a bit of blood and guts, tho in places it does show some barbarity watched 3 episodes one after another, filled a lazy sunday afternoon and quite looking forward to the next episode.

Well it has some of the same actors in it too "Tully" gets a part as both the goody and the villain Professor Randal / Captain Black Jack Randal his ancestor
The music in it is supposed to be from Bear Mcready but most that I have heard is traditional Scots tunes with altered wording, and in the first episode my wife's favourite group Clanadonia get to play, now they are a rough bunch of Glasgow chancers

I didn't mind the first and maybe even the second Pirates movies but when they start cranking them out faster than cupcakes and having story lines that make no sense whatsoever...
Also I was getting tired of Depp starring in pretty much every Tim Burton film playing pretty much the same weird character.
They filmed Pirates 2 and 3 back to back, to save money, so naturally they came out a year apart. They were three years after the first one, though. The 4th one was FOUR years after that, and the new one will be SIX years after that.
Averaged out it is 5 films in 14 years. Under no definition is this "fast."

If they had spent less time zooming around on hover boots maybe they could have developed a better relationship.The film was just wam bam,a constant assault of action on the eyes at times.About an hour in I didn't care if I continued to watch or not.
As for Kunis,beautiful as she is,everytime I hear her speak I want to say 'shut up Meg'!

Monty Pythons Flying Circus, the first few episodes of season 2. It's fan-bloody-tastic. The show was better than the movies in my view, yeah there's a few failed sketches but on the whole it's great and for the time quite revolutionary.
I never liked Terry Gilliam's animations though, they're a good way to transition between ideas but 9 out of 10 times they just weren't funny. Surely I can't be the only one who thinks so.

Do any of you guys ever re-visit sit-coms from way back? There are very few modern ones that I can actually sit and watch.
So far I have done the complete series of Dad's Army,Steptoe and Son,It Ain't Half Hot Mum and I'm currently working through Citizen Smith (Robert Lindsay) - maybe not familiar to you guys over the pond.I was working In London at the time (1977) and they were filming some outside location shots just up the road from where I worked (Tooting Bec).
On my re-watch list is 'Get Some In' a comedy about National Service (Robert Lindsay again) and I'm quite taken with early episodes of 'The Worker' starring Charlie Drake.Any Brits remember him?

Jupiter Ascending was supposed to be released last June or July I believe and then pushed back to February of this year.
When a big budget film gets pushed out of its summer release date that's almost never a good thing. I'm 95% sure that decision was made when the studio execs first saw the film and thought "yeah, this is a turkey".

I've never been a fan of sitcoms regardless of their country of origin but there are a few comedy shows that I absolutely love like MP Flying Circus, Mystery Science Theatre 3000 and South Park.
As a kid I remember watching the "Benny Hill Show" with my dad. Yeah, it was a guilty pleasure but I'm excused due to my young age at the time.
