Question for Bast --
In the Red Square Parade with Su-25As, are the Su-25As on the Red side with all the Red groups that are in the parade? And they guard the Red forces against the Blue attacking armor and aircraft...


Or, are the Su-25As on the Blue side and are attacking the Red parade?


I'm thinking the Su-25As are on the Red side and are defending the Red parade. And Blue A-10Cs are attacking the parade. Plus throw in some F-15Cs and Red pointy nosed jets for some dogfighting...

Eh Mol... saw you were trying to get in the mission there but had a script error on my side. I'm trying to resolve it now and should be fixed.

Wonder if this might help resolve the troop loading issue. Huey guys take a look and see if it looks familiar.


His setup is pretty much the same as the one I'm using in Corn on the Kobuleti... Haven't quite figured out the need for the mission editor zone outside of the embarking / disembarking zones included in the action itself.

Mol and Bast gave some guidance on the Su-25A, so the latest Red Square Parade mission has almost no Blue air defense missiles. Also included are more Cold Start slots and added A-10A's.

Well, not everybody loves a parade...

A new 'Integrity Check' went in on Hollo Pointe yesterday - a few regulars couldn't join, so the new checks were backed out.

But most of the folks who couldn't join were on the v128Beta -- you guys need to update to the official v128 release.


I do plan to put the latest integrity check back in. And no, I won't post what it is looking for.

Yeah - I don't know what was going on there. I was able to join another server with no problem and flew around in the Ka-50 for about an hour and half.

I'll give it a go again tomorrow..

I mentioned to crew- if he was using the same IC that I forwarded to him from the guys at the 51st, they had accidentally included the "bin" file- which they subsequently removed when they had issues as well.

I will be removing this from my IC check as well.

It will require some tuning- but I think it's worthwhile as we move into the future.

Holy smokes I was able to shoot things down with the F-15 tonight. Thanks for the tips and the mission WC!

Last Thursday I logged in and with an Huey did the milk-runs in Parade mission.

I managed to land at each artillery post and have each one of them to fire.

The result was less than impressive but on the whole a fun mission.

After making all artillery shooot-shoot once I decided to go and gun-run the survivors (most of the column was actually intact...) only to find that Shilkas were still pretty much alive and pissed! LOL

Enjoyed. Handling of a fully loaded Huey isn't easy... especially when landing. Kudos.

If you take a Huey or an A-10 to the Red Square and land it for 60 seconds you will win the mission. But yeah, those Shilkas have got to go.

I have managed to win it twice this way. Here I couldn't stop too well and nosed into the rubble --


Then the Blue MLRS opened up and devastated the area, me included -- but I got my 60 seconds in, just barely --

HEY GUYS - WHAT HAVE I MISSED?!?!?! (Last Online before 1.2.8.......)

It's been very busy the last little while - we are trying to get ready to move in my family. My grandfather can't live on his own too much longer so we've decided to sell the houses, pool the money and purchase a larger house so he can live with us (2875sq ft, 38' lot, 585k, new - closes in a year). This has meant taking care of two houses, and we have to get both ready for sale as well. Did I mention my grandfather's lawn includes this hill - it's so rough you'd think 40 grit sandpaper was silk! The grass WAS a foot tall - and our lawn hasn't grown a few inches yet......

There's also been a bunch of computer work to be done (for the family) and two trips up to Ottawa (5 hours away) on top of work. It's been busy - but I can't stand seeing my HOTAS sitting at the side of my desk any longer.


I've seen that you guys have been re-doing your F15C controls, is the A-10C affected at all?

Last note since I saw the F-18 mentioned........

This photo was taken by my dad at the 2003 Quinte International Airshow at CFB Trenton, my love of the F-18 began and FSX let me fly it. When it comes to DCS I'd love to see this scheme available as one of the Canadian selections.

Eh Wes- sounds like you've been busy! Not many if any changes to the inputs on a10 except that you need to redo them all for 128. You can't just transfer them over. No- you REALLY can't this time.

I remember in 120 we weren't supposed to either but I did and it worked fine. This time- no. The whole format has changed.

Anyway hope you keep on keepin on and we'll maybe see you in the near-ER future.

Long time no see! I hope the move goes well for you. We've been thinking of consolidating, too.

The new v128 released an updated F-15C flight model. That led to some controls work. I'm still fiddling with it -- the darn thing is even tough to get off of the ground -- recommendation is to map the 'S' key to the Nose Wheel Steering button.

I added a new 'axis' to my Warthog. See the silver knob that I scotch-taped to my throttle -- it is a Griffin PowerMate. It's not really an axis -- not that DCS can see, but it can send out keystrokes. Too bad DCS can't see it as an axis -- anybody have any ideas for getting it to show up as an axis? It does scroll windows in Win 8.1.

This PowerMate is mapped to the F-15C Scan Zone Down & Up for Radar Elevation. I'm using the throttle's Slider axis for the Range. The PowerMate is also a push button that I mapped to the I key for Radar On/Off. I haven't had much flight time with it yet.

Geez -- forget this PowerMate thing! I cannot get it to send keystrokes to the DCS sim. It worked earlier but not now. I can send keystrokes to the Mission Editor and the Logbook but not to the cockpit controls. I even deleted the F-15C KB files and rebooted and it is still misbehaving.

Eh guys- last time I was playing someone else with a warthog controller mentioned he was having the same issue as I was with a noticeable tilt to the right. Anyone remember who it was? Just wondering since I'm going through some tech support back and forth now and have some instructions I can pass on.
