Made changes to Nuke Plant and Road To Persa over the weekend. The 'WC' missions on Hollo Pointe will now start the next mission in alphabetical order.

Got the Huey and installed that - haven't attempted any time in it, though.

Then applied the latest patch to my computers - crossing fingers that all the missions will operate A-OK w/o any tweaking for this patch. The server started up and I launched Road kill.

---

In Road To Persa (I need to rename it back to that) I replaced the hardened bunkers at the camps and placed all the camp objects in reasonable positions - they look like camps now :-)

Also added some messages to give the Blue a heads-up on what grid square to find the Red camp. I should try to adjust the London FARP so Red can't slip up under it...

---

Hope most everyone can make it to the August Fly-In. Already heard from some about conflicts. frown

Fixed some things -

The M4 (Highway)
Raised the starting altitude for Hueys
Stopped F-15C Feet Wet notice on a/c crash

Road To Persa
Renamed it back smile
Put Blue armor around the FARPS
Added Blue FARP support
Tweaked the London FARP location to help close the gap between the FARP and lower terrain

iShot
Blue Ka-50s are replaced with UH-1Hs

I did check the settings for the Civ Traffic. Last night in Persa the A-10C guys said they had no Civ Traffic on the roads that should be there to camouflage the Red scout convoys, while the Red Ground Commander can see lots of traffic. The 'mission' file had 'civTraffic' set to High - so did the Options file. Both my editing machine and my server have Use These Options For All set to False. I just checked out the latest version of Persa in an A-10C and do see Civ Traffic.

Crew I was mistaken earlier, I did see civilian traffic in the A-10, Huey, and as red GC. Mol was in the Huey and didn't see any (so his client perhaps overrode the server)

Ugh, I'd be in there with you guys tonight but DCS is updating to 1.2.4.12913.167 at 8 KB/s. The real kicker is I swear I already did this update...didn't it come out in May?

Haven't you heard? There was an update on Thursday that went bad so the update on Friday returned everyone back to where they were on Wednesday. I think this is what they call the DCS deja vu experience....but it's still in beta wacky

Next time I play I will check it again. I used not seeing the traffic to an advange because every civilian car I saw was in fact a insergent vehicle.

I only played from the #1 huey slot that night.

Went to install the SSD last night but I messed up the migration. Not a biggie, I'd rather do a fresh install of the OS... but the upgrade Win 8 Pro I'd bought in December *can't* be used for a fresh new install grrrrr

Ahh, I'm exchanging the SSD - could not get the Samsung software to find it.

I haven't had a chance to tuck into any mission editing since Tuesday when I thought I might have more opportunity. I'm up at work now and it's hit or miss as I can only get any done at night after work.

Right now I'm going to be putting emphasis on polishing off the existing missions without making substantial changes- dialing them in based on the feedback I've received thus far.

WC... iShot was up yesterday morning so I decided to fly the Huey from Min Vody to Beslan using the kneeboard map and visual flight rules. It was quite fun really helped knowing you can fly long distances using visual things like power lines and cities to help you navigate.

I had to make a detour and go to Mazdock first to rearm. I didn't take any armement because I knew it would be faster without all the drag... so I loaded up and took off for Beslan... I actually spotted the Shilka's and Strelas from a distance before they starte firing and was able to duck and dodge my way thru with minimal damage... I finally had Beslan in site and was preparing for a suicide rocket ripple run when the Tung hammered me. Sure would have been nice to see that coming with an RWR...But it was a total suprise. biggrin
