Okay... well- that's it... I've had it. Done... gone... finished. I can't do it any longer.
Small enough for me to transport easily (14") and will allow me to participate in action while I'm gone (as a CA / JTAC contributor).
Sorry boys- you may be having to hear me gobbing off on TS3 more often now while on the ground. In the meantime, mission building will be MUCH easier- and I'll be able to spend twice the amount of time doing it because it won't depend on an internet connection.
Looking forward to it! I really am.
Eno excellent news mate. Be good to have you about in your downtime whilst at work. Think you'll find working the CA/JTAC piece rewarding as well. Esp with multi aircraft about it can quite busy.

Dont think of it as being vastly outnumbered ... but just having a large target selection.
The only thing more accurate than incoming fire, is incoming friendly fire

Windows 8 on that? I'd be tempted to use USB headphones and mic with it - I have the 7H USB - this V2 looks like a new model - Steelseries V2 WC

why cant this happen when I am flying LINK When I was in South Korea in 1974 as a HAWK radar mechanic, we were going to the missile range where a Nike-Hercules missile was launched and blew up! A large piece of the missile landed next to the mess hall - luckily no one was hurt. The next week the S. Koreans were firing a HAWK missile and hadn't fastened one of the fins securely. The missile left the launcher at about 40 up - heading out over the Yellow Sea - when about 4 seconds into the flight the wing came off and the missile spiraled. My HIPIR Radar was tracking the target drone and our sergeant reached over and pressed the power button on the radar and turned it off - and that missile also blew up when it lost the radar guidance to the target. This one I got to see. WC

Nuke Plant has been up for 70 hours on Hollo Pointe. Broadcast message says, "Nuke Plants 1 & 2 are destroyed." Heading into Nuke Plant 3 - Run away! Run away! WC

These SA-10s in Nuke Plant last night sure seemed more capable in v123 than they were in v122.

Still at it on Nuke Plant - almost 94 hours now. The TORs guarding Nuke Plant #3 are about done, but at least one player got in the Red GC slot so who knows what Wheel did , I won't say who. TGP on Nuke Plant #3 - Landing at Beslan for a rearm - WC

we finally defeated the beast. After the s6 and s300 sites were taken out, it was like a bunch of monkeys in a banana store.
crew-- the mission got stuck at "pause" instead of restarting or jumping to a new mission. I had to unpause and manually restart it... I wasn't able to get back in and verify it was running.

Eh guys... I think someone put up a new mission which is good- It's been a heck of a couple days at work and I haven't been able to get in as I have usually because a) the work computers appear to block TV, and I didn't have a chance to snipe on my laptop. Sorry I haven't been as involved lately but I am able to get in and grab logs and crash logs to supply to ED. They don't answer but... that's their issue. I'll supply the dcs.logs and I continue to just hope that at some point someone will stumble into something that matters that will FIX the issue (whatever it is.)
I'm just sitting at the airport on my way in so I won't be able to do much with the missions until tomorrow. I'll be home tomorrow.
I do have access to Aviancer's new mission ready to deploy on the firehouse and I'm hoping we'll get some folks in there to give it a good test. I'm looking forward to getting in there and seeing what she's created! Perhaps we can join up tomorrow night?
I'm also CONVINCED from the feedback I've seen in Blooze's 1 LIFE TO LIVE thread... Gordo's mission is the likely candidate at this point to fly the concept.
I talked to Speed about whether or not anything existed in SLMOD to administrate 1 aircraft per player and he asked if I'd tried out the dynamic aircraft availability built in...
It will be a locked event, and anyone joining acknowledges that you get shot down once... as a pilot if you eject and live and want to act as JTAC... okay... but 1 plane. We're going to be depending on the guys in the game to help enforce that. It will be a TS3 only lockup... anyone who reads this thread and gets the password to log in and isn't on TS3 will be respectfully kicked (not banned.)
Anyway- I got confirmation that the laptop shipped today so it should be in my mitts before I head back up to work Wednesday morning... looking forward to exploring JTAC!

Crew.
Did you change the mission? Or did a ground commander move the SA6 to that place to protect the #3 and#4 nuke plants. We had to switch to full sead mode and make several attempts at the SA6 and S300 before blindone finally got in close enough to take the SA6 out. Once the threats were gone 3 A-10s swarmed 3 and 4 nuke plants and we had it wrapped up in about 15 min.

Hmmm, ask Wheel. Alright! You guys finally nailed it! After 92 hours or so. Good test of stability. I sure have not moved the SA-10 Site, and those big AD systems cannot be moved by GCs or JTACs, even though they are mobile in design. That's why I wonder if the SA-300 capability was adjusted up in this version of DCS World. It is spossed to sit such that it's envelope is just at the line of the Nuke Plants 2 & 3... --- Now that Nuke Plant is won, it's back to editing time on the campaign. I realized my scheme for 'mission won' won't work - i.e.: all of coalition out of zone, as aircraft do count in that evaluation - I would like to see that trigger type extended to the type of the platform - Air, Helicopter, Ship or Vehicle. Here's a quick update on my "grounded project" I removed the clutch button from the x52 and replaced it with a 2 axis joystick to be control my SOI slew. It looks little rough right now, but it fits and works. eventually I'll mould a new fascia. The fit: Phase 2 is to make the X52 a dual throttle (L&R). here is a pic of the mechanical components of the x52 (left) and x45 (right) looking from the front: Total cost in parts so far: $25 for used X52 $20 for used X45 $4 for parallax joystick (buy direct!) $39 for Leo Bodnar 12bit joystick board. $25 bag of wires, PCBs, headers, resistors and diodes from Mouser ---- $113 more to come!

I only was killed one time by the S300 however the SA-6 killed me a half a dozen times and not because I was going after it... it was over Nuke plant 3. I bet that SA-6 shot 50 missiles or more last night. I noticed that the SA-6 is a wheeled vehicle ... can it be moved and if so was it moved by a Ground commander? or is it similar to the S 300? I didn't recall a SA-6 out there in the last mission so I wonder if they didn't enhance their ability.

X-Ray's "Kill Crew" and "Kill Mol" buttons Priceless Thanks for the update Blindone this is cool stuff. I got to let the new wear off my X52 for a while longer though.

It is just the bigger systems that cannot be moved - BUKs, HAWKs and SA-10 sites cannot be moved. Actually, soldiers cannot be moved - so no re-directing MANPADS or Iglas, from what I've tried. The area that you are referring to had about four SA-15s and about as many SA-6's. These are in two groups that came to Nalchik to reinforce the base - they come in over time, but with the mission length both groups had made it to their destination. A Ground Commander could have moved either or both of these groups elsewhere. That is something that I like to do. There are a couple of other Red ADA assets that could be easily moved neared to Nuke Plants 1 & 2, as well. WC

Well it could have been too that the S300 was shooting and the RWR was just barking because of teh SA 6 I never payed much attention to what the chat said as far as what killed me. The SA6 has a spike tone then a Lockup tone and finally a launch warning.. while the S300 just has the spike tone only and if you are close enough a launch warning. Maybe I was just hearing the Lockup tone of the SA6 and the launch warning of the S300. Either way it was good thing we had a large supply of A-10s cuz we sure used em up last night. If Blindone didn't have that high speed low drag X97 Controller (thats the X52+X45= X97 for those of you Non Math people) Nuke plants 3 and 4 would still be operational and the mission would have been in its 118 hour.

Just saw this: Brutal. Looking for the thread that helps tone the smoke down- anyone seen it? Had something to do with adjusting the particle effect down... Perhaps we can help each other!
