Not sure what was up but the computer was shut down at some point... Or restarted...
Anyway I'm not sure why it stopped working last night unless it was an Internet issue? It was snowing pretty hard when I left so that's definitely a possibility.
Crew we should be able to switch freely between 1111 and 1.2.
Commands for loging in at squad level will be available through teamspeak- suffice to say the credentials are similar to before. This will prevent kicking / banning events for our more regular / teamspeak based clients. It's easier to be more tolerant to someone when he is on teamspeak. My intolerance for tk'ing isn't exactly a secret- though many are also aware of the fact I've tk'd wheel- other guys have issues that result in collisions that- when on teamspeak- are easily explained and of course understood.
I'm going to continue to highly recommend teamspeak-and to caution people who aren't logged into either slmod (1.2) or servman (1111) that the programs have different ways of dealing with people. More explanation on the differences later this morning so there is minimum confusion! (Have to get to work!)

I've been hesitant to install 1.1.1.1 and revert my helios profile from its glorius current state. I might have to give it a go however, if you guys are sticking with 1.1.1.1

most of it is easy to pickup if you're in a session with an experienced pilot, as he can tell you what to do, and you can do it without having to read a guide and look for a switch.
I knew some stuff coming into DCS A-10, i didnt however know anything about TADS, GroupID, SPI broadcasting and receiving, or CDU inputs. I changed that in one session.
I Also started slaving MAV to the TGP and using the TGP to find Targets from a Safe distance and mark them so I can hit them quicker and easier and safer.

The old TV webview used to work but it is no longer available AFAIK. --- edit Seems TV won't go through the Proxy at work. When I get more time I'll try the TV Mobile app for my iPhone3. --- I will be on holiday starting Friday afternoon. WC

In v1111 Thunder Of Kojori last night these AF_94th wiseguys showed up and knocked down the bridges into Kutaisi Airbase. I told them that NATO had their tail numbers and they were going to get traffic tickets for blocking the commuters - but they just laughed and said, "Bombs away!" ^^^ That's one way to protect the Pat Site. You can hear the auto horns blaring from the Civ Traffic. Hmmm Civ Traffic - what a concept.WC Civ traffic that doesnt kill FrPS

Pete, There are three radios on your left side, behind the throttles. ON your VHF radios *top and *bottom, with the ADF in the *middle. To see the view below, use your snap view = (left control + NUMPAD 0) and then press (NUMPAD 1) to change the snap view to coms. (game defaults) your view will look like this: you should be able to set your radios easily now that you can see them. for the CDU, use NUMPAD 2

just a note, if your using eyefinity, the snap views dont work, least they dont work for me, as they are off (too close or moved from actual 1 screen position), i just go by knowing first number is 12, and left click goes one way and right click another, 2nd knob i can barely see the number, but enough to know what it is.

Good point, for some reason I automatically assume everyone is using a single screen. If you have a different setup you'll need to configure the snapviews.

1.2.3 is not yet available in the updater at least as of 5 seconds ago. Just so you guys know I'm going to be running that update as soon as possible.
It appears the server comp has been down all day- or it shut off again (which is mildly concerning.) I think I'll run one more 1.1.1.1 training mission until the new update comes out at which point I'm going to hope that "fixed MP client Crash" means I don't need to run it in the DMZ anymore.
Again, I encourage fliers to be patient as we feel out the capabilities of this new patch to resist crashes and disconnects.
As for a few points about SLMOD vs Servman.
SLMOD doesn't require you to sign in as a mod... people are "added" to the mod list and those I've entrusted with mod abilities have instructions on how to do so. I have also entrusted them with the ability to pass on these abilities (basically intended to help increase the opportunities for people to get new missions, kick and ban users.)
The chat entry to enable these functions is (example): -ban Eno (has to be spelled / cased exactly as appears in the game)
Servman requires a "squad" log in to enable immunity- but doesn't allow to ban. The user / password information will be passed on over teamspeak to those from SimHQ and our friendly little community over here. Once you are logged in at the squad level, you are no longer affected by the friendly fire / collision events as people are when they aren't signed in. This adds a little peace of mind to those new flier from our group and serves as a little reward for being signed up with SimHQ and in TS3.
The user / pw format in the chat window for servman is: /login user pw
Let me know if there are any questions.

Eh guys... I read blooze's thread here in DCSW forum- I've never run BfB before but it looked pretty awesome. It's a mission designed by Druid_ over in the ED forums. He has another couple that are very elaborate... but does require the sharing of some documents so that pilots stick within the mission parameters (and don't get shot down by friendly SAMs, as an example.) At some point I'd like to try it out- but it'll likely be an "event" that people sign up for a few hours of fun and lock the server up. That way, all pertinent documentation can be shared with people who are interested and then they can sign up for the event. The missions I have in mind are made for between 6-8 people so there is loads of room, so sign up would be limited to the appropriate number of people. BfB was one that is elaborate and may require some additional attention over the longer term by the sounds of it. 4 guys were in last night (Wheel, Mol, Rider and Psycho) but I'm not sure how long they were in or what they accomplished. I do apologize for one thing... I was under the impression that the map including the description of the inbound / outbound corridors was included in the mission briefing- it is, instead, located in the web link below. Whoops. Can one of you guys who got to fly BfB give a brief mission update? How was it? What did you accomplish? How does the mission play out? Is that a mission I should reserve for an "event?" In the brief it resembles the Back to School mission in that it seems like an almost apocalyptic armored assault- that lasts for 24 hours or so and requires CAS from a number of A-10s to succeed. Perhaps we can do a post Christmas event... 27-28 or so and commit to accomplishing the mission during a "world wide" fly in? I have to do some more reading to ensure which version is supported- there are some pretty long threads discussing all three missions. Operation Talisker Battle for BE Op Lagavulin

We played on BfB last night a bit... and it seems fun however we killed too many friendlys. When the JTAC gives coordinates, you can't just go to those coordinates and kill whats there... you have to listen closely to his instructions. For example I heard the JTAC say: "... Enemy advancing Blah blah blah... EE37685900... blah blah blah..."So I enter coordinates and its a convoy of trucks moving along at a fast clip... Easy pickings... {man this is fun} GBU-12 mid pack can kill 4 at least. All the trucks were Blue... what I missed in the JTAC according to Rider was: "Enemy advancing 12,000 meter west of our position EE37685900 request immediate support."Identification between friend and foe is tough in this mission.
