Hmmm, that's right they hadn't fixed that master server list issue by 1.1.1.1... so for those of you needing to connect- sometimes it's in your history tab, other times you need to direct connect.

Eh guys-
A bit of an explanation is in order. I said strict- but as a result of some oversights in servman it was even more strict than I thought!
I went back through the settings with a fresh set of eyes and found a couple of missed settings.
I have changed those to allow a bit more lattitude. Sorry blooze and Pete.

The 1.1.1.1 version master server list issue wasn't dealt with then- so once the server has been up for awhile if a new search doesn't help, and it's not in your HISTORY tab- then try direct connect. If it's still not working then it may be because the server is down.

That photo brought to you only seconds before the sun stuck the earth! Sadly this happened because we didn't read the briefing!
On another note- I'm quite enjoying 1111- it's not perfect but even JTAC works... Tankers, all the old missions... Guys were designing missions for 1111 with passion- yet most of them have quit making missions because each mission they make forces them to make changes with each patch.
I'm not saying we're going back for good- but I'm saying we could.
Need some community feedback here.

Just tried my first mission with AC10 1.1.1.1 and while starting up, my throttle had a mind of it's own and went to 100%, needless to say it was an ugly scene and I was penalized severely.  Hey blooze... I had this problem as well. When I loaded my stick profile the there were some duplicated inputs... So my x axis was also my throttle axis or something like this. Check your mappings closely and make sure they aren't duplicated.

Check your mappings closely and make sure they aren't duplicated. fresh installs of new modules in DCSW and A-10C always had this issue with me too. I assumed my controls were mapped, loaded, and noticed all Axes were Linked, so when I throttled up and tried to pull up, pulling back on the stick lowered my throttle, roll right put the throttle all the way up, right pedal forward put throttle up etc etc. I've since learned to boot DCS and check control axes before doing anything.

Well... Weekend of 1.1.1.1 was pretty fun. I love having the JTAC and doing the stuff that A-10s were intended for. I had someone ask me how I Keyed coordinates in the CDU so quickly. I told him how but I thought I would share...
I map each keystroke on the CDU to a button on my Keyboard. To do this I have to use a Function Key otherwise I would overwrite all the default keys. So I used the Space Bar as a Function Key when I do the assignments in the Options Menu.
So it looks like this:
CDU 0key = SPACE+NUM 0
CDU 1key = SPACE+NUM 1
CDU 2key = SPACE+NUM 2...
CDU Zkey = SPACE+Z
For the space button I used SPACE+RIGHT ARROW and CLR I used SPACE+LEFT ARROW.
This will allow me to hold the SPACE bar down with my left thumb and type almost as if I was typing on my keyboard as normal and it doesn't effect my default key strokes because I am using a Function Key.
Anyway I hope this helps someone else.

quick question .. is the 1.111 server up at the moment ? ... not showing on serverlist and getting the "can't connect" message on direct connection

i have a mini Logitech keyboard, I tape the fN key down, and use that as a Modifier.
so fN A-Z = A-Z on the CDU, fN 0-0 = 0-9 on numbers line. most of the time i dont even use it though, just look down, hit new WP, enter UTM enter coordinates, press button, enter name. and turn TGP towards waypoint.

Well that was a great weekend. I flew more this weekend than the last month! You know my feelings on Quad 1. Sure wouldn't mind if you kept serving it until something more stable and playable comes out with World. It was nice to fight the enemy instead of the software.

we can stick with 1.1.1.1, as Im comfortable with my Button setup, and i dont wanna have to spend another hour in DCSW setting it up the same, only to have it botched in a update.

use the "modifier" function in your assignments tab within DCS. set a new modifier as "space"
If you're not wanting to hold the space bar, you can make it a "switch" in v1.2+ and that will allow you to latch the space bar while you key and unlatch by pressing space again.
