We had a lot of folks come in last night - it was quite nice. Some did not stay long, makes me wonder if they were there to test the boarding ladder

FYI - in Back To School I was up at Mozdok Airbase and did not see the buildings.


sniporbob - General Vaz has to be killed by downing all three transport choppers. That's a bummer if the last one cannot be killed. We've seen that in Thunder Of Kojori where many enemy a/c are left at Williams Field in a half destroyed state and they won't clear off the map and continue to show an icon in F10 View.

And watch out for his daughter, Tanya Bobanya - she's prolly the one who shot you down.

I came in when alot was happening, but forgot to switch from 1 screen w/ dev debug to 3 screens normal eyefinity and put the CH Gear back in Direct mode. Also had an Issue with Controller P-T-T button not sticking, so Had to fight with TS3 for a minute.

then came back in when everyone else was leaving, flew around at 30 feet of the deck for a bit, under power lines, etc.

Accidently jettisoned all my MAVs (I dumped CBUs and forgot to leave the SJET screen), locked a target, pressed the Release and got the "no Mav Screen", then noticed what screen i had left it on in DSMS. Face Palm Moment.

So I go on a bunch of guns passes, the plane kept stalling and getting really wobbly when pulling Gs, even after I had Dumped Everything,

never had that problem before, maybe something wasnt "ON" or Tuned to the way i fly, from the WARM start.

All my Curves were still set, so something P/R SAS prolly wasnt on. It was really easy to control > 100 feet from the deck though.

I'm guessing the random people didn't have A-10C or BS2. When I was playing, an almost continuous stream of people would join for < 1 minute and then leave without selecting a slot.

The airborne hind actually got me twice. The first time I didn't know it was there. The second time I was hauling ass trying to kill the general before it could fire at me. I got distracted and stopped thinking about the hind when the generals chopper couldn't be destroyed though. Eno could you check the replay to see if I just suck and missed the general with most of my rounds? I think I encountered the invincibleish units bug tho. The other two choppers were definitely on fire and should have counted as destroyed, but they were still on F10 view.

Eh Snipor... I just went to check the files and I'm glad I did. I think when I applied the patch the auto record feature turned off. Unfortunately the last mission I have was from before the patch was applied. I got it restarted... good mental note for the patching process.

I've put up another mission that has been stable in the past. I'm wondering if that 10300 UDP port assignment was messing things up somehow. We shall see.

I'm not going to DMZ the machine if guys find they aren't having the problems they were having originally.

Eh guys... server is down for a bit. SLMOD is apparently a bit broken now with the new patch and while trying to apply a bandaid to my current server install I screwed it up so bad I had to reinstall... apparently,I deleted my installation files- so I'm redownloading.

Anyway- going to TRY and get things up and running again.

Hi all hows server going been busy pass two weekends,last time i played got lots off trouble joining enos server,i been missing the bloody game cant wait to get up and fly again.

My Internet went down last night just as I was about to squeeze off a gau burst in to a BTR. It did not come back on until some over nite.

Server is still down. Can't get it to even open up the home screen. Very, very frUstrated with it but ill figure it out eventually.

Home screen for the game or Windows?

too bad you can just disable 3d altogether and run DCSW in a Virtual Machine.. make a copy of the VM for a Backup, if it goes bad, just restore teh backup.

or better yet, 3 VMs, with different versions, haha

I was so idiotic last night that while emptying folders I erased the new missions... duh. In the meantime I do have the latest ones from crews bulk send over- but I think I'm one version behind.

Anyway, server is up again... going to take a stab at RB.

I think part of the issue was that while I was working on things I did a couple system restores to undo a variety of things I was messing with and in the meantime think I affected the video driver for Teamviewer. I realized that this morning after I accessed it via a monitor (I keep one around to connect to it if necessary).

Anyway- hopefully we'll get somewhere. Einstein has got an awesome idea he's trying to square away regarding the ULTIMATE formation flight. I'm going to need EVERYONE we have on our regular crew to step up for this... we'll need volunteers to fly every available platform DCS supports- between all the flyable FC3 aircraft as well as the DCS platforms.

Einstein has done a great job so far in planning out what formations different groups of aircraft will fly to maintain a single larger formation... I'm doing everything I can to ensure stability on my end- I'm hoping that a couple things I did last night will help. Guys were on and it was rock solid- nobody was being kicked... Only issue was I couldn't connect- the 7570 crash glitch that has been affecting people. I could connect to other servers not running A-10 but I couldn't connect to my own. Lovely.

I'll be flying tonight. Hope to see some of you boys there!

Mustang on ED forums said the devs isolated what they beleive is the cause and are working on a fix.

I feel somewhat selfish in doing so as a result of the fact that guys were able to play last night and I was suffering CTDs while trying to connect. I've tried a number of workarounds so far but nothing has taken.

Let's just say that IF I end up doing the rollback I will post quick instructions on how you can quickly rollback your build to the 7268 build (I think that was the last one).

Doesn't Tyger's post indicate that you DON'T need to rollback?

No- read it through to the end. I'm going to try what skate is talking about... but I'm losing confidence.

Seems even though you set them in the router, some times they arent actually open or forwarded to the correct local IP.

Dynamic DHCP Servers Assign IPs Randomly everytime your Network card requests one.

Set Static IP for PC and Forward port to that IP.
