Good morning,
Looks like the server machine rebooted last night.
It is up now with Back To School.
The port is 10300... I was able to connect through the MP Lobby.

Good news Einstein, I have learned a few things in the KA50. I know how to take off and land, I can switch on the cannon and fire at stuff directly in front of me and I know how to crash.

Yes. Training mission tomorrow featuring a new playground. Thanks for helping me out with it Einstein! Brought all the aircraft I closer together to ensure everyone gets a chance to fly together. Comms will be a bit overlapped but guys can sort that out as things get ramped up. Still got the Sam and aaa areas with immortal foes but added some targets as well. Give people something to think about. Also added some jtac that I HOPE will work. Wish I could be there

Ran a new mission tonight and it went pretty well until a Stopped Working message at 40 minutes or so. Both me and Birdski in his shiny new F-15C got it. I'm pooped from working on the local water feature so see youse guys tomorrow. Good to have a fire extinguisher around the cockpit Wild Turkey! WC

Not sure what happened there, Turkey. I shot a Vikhr off at you, clearly missed. As you turned around, I tried to get inside/under you, but you turned too sharp for that, so I climbed with you and tried to get a guns shot. At some point I realized you weren't going to pick me off, but actually ram me, so I pegged the collective, went to manual guns mode, and started firing. I'm pretty sure I landed a few rounds on you, but didn't think I did anything serious.
As you tried to ram me, I climbed above you, but I think your right wingtip scored a hit - demolishing your plane and leaving me scratch free! Not sure what that was about!
Later, I ran through some power lines with the external view on and saw little flashes and explosions as if I was getting hit by something, but no damage showed up on the aircraft. The next set of power lines I tried to go through took my rotor head off though, so there goes that speculation!
Now only if trees were collidable too...

I spawned in to a Red A-10C (the slot is an air start one..that always throws me for a loop).. Two seconds later, another user (can't even remember his name now) spawned in on my wing. A few seconds after that, my missile warning goes off and I get hit when he team kills me with an AIM-9.. Then he disconnected from the server. Nice. He tore up my airframe and avionics real nice..but my engines were still running, so I did limp back to a landing..but unfortunately I picked the neutral Lochini instead of Vaziani or whatever.. So I couldn't repair.. Einstein in his ride.. BeachAV8R

Beach, can you please IM me the name... I'll go in the log and see if I can find his UCID.
Edit: Whoops- re-read your post and see you don't remember his name. When these TKs happen, please try and grab a screenshot of it... it helps me go back in the logs to find the UCIDs so that we can get these idiots banned.
On a different note- the Playground is up. It's not PERFECT- I didn't have time to get a good polish on it but with Einstein's help it's not bad. A few aircraft group names aren't quite right- but they're close.
I've changed it around a bit as I mentioned so that everyone is working in the same general area. The F-15Cs are left to their own devices in terms of waypoints- we all have maps... so I figured I'd drop them in there so guys can go do what they want with the F-15Cs. At some point, MiG-29s are going to make an appearance on the fringe of the operational area... and the idea is to give the F-15s something to watch out for while they're out showing off high mach number dashes. I had to be careful how I programmed the MiGs so they didn't come in and stomp on everyone else...
The objective of the mission is to give guys a chance to come in and work together on different skills... Einstein was planning on going with with the KA-50s... so I'm hoping he'll have a chance to do that with a nice big number of guys. A-10s can go in and should have some JTAC functionality. JTACs are there- may not be working... we've had that problem before.
A few of the areas are protected by "long term / immortal" air defenses. Whether you want to brave enemy fire or simply standoff and plink away at tanks... take your pick- I wanted the threat to exist "long term" and that was the easiest way I knew how.
Thanks again to Einstein for the bulk of the mission template... I'd have NEVER- EVER been able to put that together.

Beach, can you please IM me the name... I'll go in the log and see if I can find his UCID. Shoot..I can't even remember the name. It was really short. Molasses or Wild Turkey might remember it.. I should have taken a screenshot right then. If a time will help..the time stamp on the screen I took a couple minutes later was 11:58 PM (east coast time) and I'd estimate the shot was fired about 3 or 4 minutes prior to that (11:54-5).. I'll be a bit more diligent in writing down TK'ers in the future.. Would be nice if the debrief logs were saved in sequential order..although it wouldn't have helped much because we suffered a server disconnect shortly thereafter..
