I decided to see Dredd this weekend. It was much better than stallone's attempt years ago. Theater was almost empty though.

Last movie I saw was "Avengers", which I finally got around to watch via pay-TV pay-per-view in its full HD glory and AC3 surround sound. Sadly, I missed it in the theaters.  Last TV-show was Strike Back Season 1 (yes, working my way backwards  ).
Why men throw their lives away attacking an armed Witcher... I'll never know. Something wrong with my face?

My wife wants me to watch The Hunger Games tonight - Why anyone over the age of 20 would be interested in seeing that movie is beyond me but hey, it's just my 2 cents.

Last night I watched " The Skin I Live In" with Antonio Banderas.. it was .. an interesting flick. The only T/V. series that I try to catch are Game ofd Thrones which is not due back till the spring I think .. and Boardwalk Empire which just got back.. I like hell on Wheels and Boss but I can do the catch up thing on those.. As far s theater movies go The Bourne Legacy was the last one I went to see.. it was OK.. I may go see Looper.. I like time travel stuff.. I think "The Time Traveler's Wife" ss a great movie.. I still have yet to see "Prometheus", "Battleship", "The Grey" .. and a whole bunch of others.. RedBox is my friend...

T.V. football I agree. But Charlize is Charlize. She looks great even if the role sucked Noomi Rapace pretty not bad too. I saw a couple of her films and she's certainly not shy about picking controversial roles, eg. Daisy Diamond. Her Prometheus scene with the auto-Caesarean machine freaked me out.

Vickers couldn't have been that smart anyway since she couldn't figure out how to run perpendicular to a rolling spaceship so she would avoid getting crushed.

I saw Looper the other night, just finished Breaking bad (damn, I can't believe I have to wait to see the other half of the series!) and am now working my way through the Inbetweeners. On a side note, I didn't think that The hunger games wasn't too bad, I quite enjoyed it, I do like Woody Harrelson and every time I see him I think back to the scene with his landlord in Kingpin

NCIS: Meh, a bit of a disappointment.
NCIS:LA: Nice twist at the end. I wasn't expecting what happened. It almost made me like Miguel Ferrer.

Miguel Ferrer is a good actor. Earliest thing I saw him in was Star Trek III. Something about him just doesn't click with me. I can't even put a finger on it. I won't turn a movie or show off when he's in it, but I surely won't seek out a movie just for him.

Kill List 6/10 - British film about two ex-soldiers who now kill for money. Unfortunately for them their latest assignment goes very wrong.
While the acting and characters were well portrayed I didn't think the plot made much sense and left too much to guess work. The film obviously got some inspiration from a certain early seventies British horror film I won't name.

Zyzzyx Road- with Catherine Heigl. The acting was good the over all story was not imo.

I've been going through Strike Back recently. Started out as a 6 ep series on Sky in the UK and then Cinemax took it over and has put out 2 more seasons(season 3 has 3 eps left I believe) of 10 eps each. Really well done show about a covert operations team fighting doze ebil turrists.
I found it amusing that as soon as Cinemax took over production hardly an episode goes by without some pretty young thing getting naked on camera. It's also nice to see actors work in their native accent. In this case I'm talking about Andrew Lincoln(of Walking Dead fame). It always amazes me how some actors can swap so easily from accent to accent without giving their native one away.
If you're in the mood for some tacticool action give it a shot.
