Bonanza - On today's episode Martin Landau played a Mexican Bandito.  TCM showed "Call Northside 777" today. Amazingly it is one of Jimmy Stewart's films that I had never seen before today. I've always like Jimmy Stewart movies and IMO this was another good one of his that was well worth watching. Wheels

Finally saw Rollerball again, the James Caan version, a few days ago. It's been several years since I last saw it in its entirety and I was wondering if I would still enjoy it or if it was one of those movies that you remembered fondly that didn't hold up well when you watched it again. Rollerball (1975) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073631/ I felt it still held up fairly well if you were to watch the whole movie but it's not one that you can just start watching in the middle if you haven't seen it recently. Imo, too many details just won't make any sense if you just happened to see it and started watching late. Wheels

I've not seen Rollerball but I heard the remake with LL Cool J was terrible!

Noticed last night that the last 3 movies I've watched all starred Mark Strong as the villain. And he's always a good one!
1-Sherlock Holmes...first one with Downey Jr
2-Kick Ass...better each time I see it, great origin story
3-John Carter....far better flick than I expected
...and in the last month:
-Green Lantern....ugh
Wasn't that long ago I watched Sunshine again, another movie where you don't want to tangle with him. LOL

If you watch Jaws backwards, it's a heart warming story about a shark that spits out so many people that they have to open a beach.

Last movie was "Phantom of the Opera" with Claude Rains. I took the time to watch it because I realized that I could not remember having seen the story fully through. Fine picture.
Last TV show was a rerun of Adam-12. I've watched a few of those lately. Seems like a great show.

 Last time at the movies was John Carter and that Aliens movie. ( cant remember the name a prequel I think) TV; Hell on Wheels, Tombstone, and Love Actually. and The Apartment

Really enjoyed the Norwegian Tourist Board advert they call Troll Hunter, it was a good laugh and the scenery was fantastic I watched Troll Hunter just last night. I don't know why, but I liked it. I guess the trolls were just so realistic looking and yet silly that it was fun to watch. And then after a while they didn't know how to end it, so they just quit. LOL

Happy to see some of you guys enjoying Troll Hunter, it's a movie that is even better when you know your norwegian fairlytales and folklore, and also the local things they make fun of  Last movie: Expendables 2 Last TV show: Warehouse 13, latest episode. I am enjoying Brent Spinner's appearances in this season.
