I have some docs and photographs on Skydrive. They just came out with a desktop client so you can drag and drop files into the cloud. They are lowering the storage limit from 25Gb to 7Gb unless you go to Skydrive and click the link to claim or keep your free 25Gb of storage.

They also upped the file size limit from 50Mb to 300Mb if you use the web and 2Gb per file limit if you use the desktop client. I have read the 2Gb upload does not work yet.

So if you already have Skydrive, better claim your 25Gb before they lower it to 7.

I have not tested the desktop client yet.

I also read if you have more than 4Gb stored there, you are auto upgraded to 25Gb for free.

I guess MS is getting ready for the imminent release of the fabled Google drive which is going to have 5Gb free.

I also read if you make a live account right now, instead of a hotmail account, for instance, [email protected], the link to upgrade to 25Gb free from now on is there on Skydrive. If you make a new hotmail account, it is not. No telling how long that will last though.
